Just Breathe

This morning Oliver was kind of upset on the way to preschool.  When he starts to cry and get upset he tells Mommy that, “…he can’t talk.”  And he asks for help.  Mommy told Oliver to just slow down and take deep breaths.   She showed him what it looks like, and he started to hysterically laugh.  Mommy must have looked pretty funny, but at least he was all better.  Mommy thought of the song Just Breathe by Faith Hill and thought that would be a good song to sing to him, but then she listened to it and decided it wasn’t appropriate for his situation—it’s still a good song though (giggling).  But then she found Just Breathe by Anna Nalick.  Mommy likes this verse:

Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable,
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand.
and breathe, just breathe
woah breathe, just breathe,
oh breathe, just breathe.

It would be good to sing to little man when he gets so upset.  Mommy doesn’t like him to get so upset. Mommy is glad she can turn his little fits of crying into fits of laughter.

Laughing at Mommy
 Practicing his breathing
Shelley stopped by today and left Oliver a cool present.
Mommy put it up on the bookshelf to surprise him.  It took
him about 3 minutes when he got home to realize it was up there.
He was so excited!
