Eagle Scout Ceremony

This afternoon Oliver came home and we were honored to attend our first Eagle Scout ceremony.  It was inspiring, motivating, and sweet.  (Mommy hopes she can continue to plant these little growing seeds in Oliver's mind.)

Eagle Scout Ceremony for Jake Huhn, his
family has a cub scout and they are
a very dedicated, neat family:

It was held at the Elk's Lodge down the street
from our home.

Program.

Awesome dessert display!

Hard work and fun!

The special table.

Hanging out before the ceremony
checking out lottery numbers.

Really neat slide show of Jake's
scouting!

Bringing up his parents.

His mom earned a pin.

His dad earned a pin.

His dad put the kerchief on and his mom put a special
Eagle Scout pin on him.  He gave a wonderful speech.

The Mayor of Escondido spoke and was there
for the ceremony too!  He sat behind us.
Pretty awesome that he is so supportive of
the scouts in our community.

Mommy's scout helping put all the chairs back
after the ceremony.

Yummy scout food!

Everything was so patriotic and thoughtful.

The Huhn family.  Their daughter received
the Gold Award in Girl Scouts, the highest rank.

Pack 659 with our main sponsor Dr. L and
the new Eagle Scout.

It was a nice ceremony.  We look forward to attending more.
Oliver is already planning his out.  One step at a time.....
