Donut Wednesday

We had a nice donut Wednesday.  We got our donuts yesterday before our busy night.

(Empty.)

Oliver was as colorful this morning as that
box of crayons!

Oliver was off with his Daddy after school.  Mommy looks forward to seeing him on Friday.  We have a busy popcorn weekend!

Den Meeting

We had the first den meeting tonight for this Bear Cub!

Mommy likes Oliver's hair when she
picked him up at the B & G Club.  He
said he was working with static electricity
in science today!

Den meeting!  His cub scout uniform didn't
make it back into his backpack.

Flag!  Oliver set up one of the flags.  He is getting
more confident with color guard.

Talking about knives.  The biggest part about being
a bear!

Excited about knives.  Oliver has a lot of them.

In line to look!

All the dad's turns.

The boys played and played, then they all sat in here
and watched TV while the parents planned the year
and Mommy shared the popcorn stuff.  (Mommy
really, really, really wants to work on her writing
project for school but popcorn duties keep calling...
oh well...she will get it done.)  We came home and
read some Harry Potter before bed.  Harry is
the best!

Baseball and Scouts

Oliver had his first baseball practice today!  He has a bunch of fun and Mommy has less anxiety about getting him there at 4:30 every Monday because Noah and his mom are going to help us!  (Mommy took a half day off work to figure it all out, plus we had to go buy another mitt.  Anyone seen his mitt????)

He was excited!

Mommy stayed but didn't watch much.  She didn't
want to embarrass him.

He likes practicing in the cages!

Its a two hour practice!  Mommy plans
on running and exercising while waiting!

He changed in the car! We were off to the scout
round up to recruit new scouts.  Mommy helped
a little with applications and did a quick popcorn
lottery meeting after.

These are signs from the middle schoolers...

This is a good one for Oliver's den since they are bears!

Oliver is off with his daddy now.  Mommy has her early staff meeting in the morning.  She will see Oliver after school for rest and Scouts!

Sunday

Oliver came home early today.  He kind of helped Mommy take some of our recycling, we have a lot on the side of our home.  Then we spent the rest of the day at home.  Mommy worked for about 3 hours on popcorn kernel duties, hopefully it will be a good selling year.  It sure takes a lot of volunteer time............(oh well).

We each got a lottery ticket when we went to cash
in our recycling ticket.  Oliver won!

We have a busy week together.  Mommy is glad Oliver is home.

Donut Wednesday

We had a pretty quiet Donut Wednesday, except for the stories Oliver was telling Mommy.

Oliver is off with his Daddy.  Mommy will see him Sunday, maybe Saturday for a Cub Scout hike, she's not sure yet though--hopefully he gets to go.  She misses him.

Mess

Today was a mess.

A mess of kids.  Mommy couldn't find
Oliver at the club.  He was lying in the
corner reading a book and didn't notice Mommy.

A mess with the chickens.  The chickens are laying
eggs but the rooster is being aggressive and won't let
Oliver gather the eggs.  Pacheco our gardener/shed
renter had to go in and get them.

A mess of kids in the backyard.  Cynthia out there with
them....that was part of Mommy's plan when she
let her have chickens in our yard.  Get her out of her
dad's truck and playing like a kid.  Not every kid
has is as lucky as Oliver.  (Sometimes it's
good to be reminded of the truth.)

Playing in the messy range.

Mommy asked Oliver to clean up the mess on his desk.
He made it real neat.  Put some stuff away.  Some
stuff in a bag to sort through later....

And the rest up on his dresser!  Mess!!!
