Donut Wednesday

Today Oliver wanted the maple bar, good thing he doesn't really eat much of his donut.  Those things are huge!  We had fun eating slowly outside in the cool weather this morning.  Oliver had an awesome day at preschool.

Mommy picked him up early and took him to a check-up at his new Doctor's office.  His Doctor was really funny and made both of us laugh, laugh, laugh.

 Oliver wanted the maple bar.
The whole thing fit in the bag.
 Yum.

 Yum again.
 Wheatgrass Wednesday.  (Yum.)
Getting his blood pressure taken.  Kind of funny for
a toddler.
The doctor's crazy collection of fun stuff.
Playing with a lion before the doctor came in the room.

The doctor wanted to have red hair like Oliver, so he
put on his wig.  He was making Oliver have banana boogers.
Oliver wouldn't let him...

Making Oliver a purple dinosaur balloon when
we were all done.  (Mommy thinks we are pretty
lucky to have found this guy.)  It will definitely make
going to the doctor easy!

Fruit and Flowers

We had a great day.  Mommy woke up Oliver by nibbling Oliver on his little tummy, he liked it and was laughing.  Good way to start our day!  Oliver had a great day at preschool.  In the evening we went to the Farmer's Market with Grammie- we had fun getting some fruit and other things.  It was nice having Grammie come with us.

Fun Tuesday!

Standing in line for kettle korn.
Cuteness with his small bag of kettle korn
and his silly car.
Pretty carrots.
Yummy beets.
Pretty purple flowers.
Mommy's apples.
Oliver bought a bunch of avocados.  He
ate a small one tonight.  Good boy.
Oliver and Mommy (You can't tell, but Mommy is kind
of irritated...that whole "car" thing, went a little
overboard...) No more car at the Farmer's Market.

Meeting up with Riley at the Farmer's Market.  Sharing
stickers and fun.  (Silly boys, kind of...) They got
kind of loud and rowdy on the sidewalk, when Grammie
was talking about cheese with Angie.
Grammie is a big cheese fan.
Mommy did her best to "shop local" but the pansy
man selling $1 pansies wasn't at the Farmer's Market
tonight.  So, we went to Lowe's and got a
few flowers to plant in a pot.
Oliver liked the fountains.  Mommy would like a
bird bath someday.
She liked this one.
Oliver with his silly alligator.  He threw
it in the bathtub- he learned what happens
when paper gets wet.  Silly kid.

We stopped in a bird store that was on Grand Avenue.
Loved all the birds!

Picnic

Mommy's little Owl came back this morning.  He had fun playing with our daycare friends.  After our friends left we went to pick up some dinner.  We got yummy dinner- for free, with our Carlsbad 5000 race numbers at Chipotle.  That race has the best "swag."  We are supposed to get free tickets to a Padres game in the mail!  Cool!
We came home and ate our dinner by Oliver's restaurant in the backyard.  The weather has been so nice the past couple of days.  Mommy is loving it!  Oliver took a really great bath, had a lot of fun brushing his teeth tonight, and fell asleep really fast watching a show.  Mommy went to clean the playroom while he finished his show--we were going to read a chapter, but he was already asleep when she got back!  Mommy is glad her Owl is home.

Oliver getting creative with his parachute.

Making "alligator scales" for an alligator we
were making out of a paper towel tube.
Chipotle, they have a neat way of "decorating."
 Picking up his race bib.
 Oliver's restaurant.
Eating his quesadilla.  He is so cute.
Mommy changed our books on our windowsills in
the playroom.  April 17th is Earth Day!
 Easter is coming soon too!
Oliver is excited about the Easter Bunny visiting our home.
April is also "National Smile Month!"  (Mommy loves to smile.)

Jr. Carlsbad

This morning Oliver ran the Jr. Carlsbad.  On the way we stopped by the donut shop to get a donut and one for Grammie.  She always loves the pictures from donut Wednesdays so we brought her one!  Yums.  We picked up Oliver's race bib and went through the expo.  Oliver was sort of in a funky mood. He was happy one second, crazy the next.  He didn't want to put on his bib, so Mommy made a compromise with him and had him put it at the bottom of his shirt.  That worked for him, phew.

He did an awesome job running.  He didn't want to hold Mommy's hand this year, he got really into it.  He had the cutest facial expressions and moved his arms like a pro!  Grammie wasn't able to get any pictures of us running, but the images Mommy has in her mind are priceless.

Oliver is off with his Daddy now for a long weekend.  See you Monday little runner.

Picking out his donut.  Grammie liked her donut holes.

Two buddies walking to the race.
 Pre-race excitement.
 Picking up his race number.
He was the one of the first 500 to sign up...it's cheaper if you
sign up early.  So, he got a free Padres t-shirt.  Lucky!
 Oliver with his new shirt.
Taking a break to drink yogurt, and Mommy slipped on
his bib.  He wasn't too happy after that.
Mommy talked with the race ladies behind Oliver,
they talked Oliver into wearing his bib....they were funny.
Oliver after made a compromise with Mommy.  We used
that word, Mommy is just waiting for Oliver to start using it now...
 Jr. Carlsbad
After his race, with his medal.  He didn't want to
wear it.  But he is really proud of it!
Look who we ran into!  Danielle!
Funny toddler talk.
Mommy and Oliver picking up her race number
for tomorrow's Carlsbad 5000.

 Cute band.
Mommy's new parenting book.  It is kind of dense, which
is surprising for the subject.  But it helped remind Mommy
today, to be "playful" with Oliver when he was in his funky
mood.  Mommy started to sing a made up, "party pooper"
song on the way back to the car when he was whining.  The
best part was when he laughed and Grammie started singing it too!
(Mommy likes the headings in the red box, those are
all things she likes to work on.  Good stuff there.)

Fun Saturday morning.

Busy Friday

Fridays are always super busy at our home.  Oliver had fun playing with our daycare friends.  They played with squirt bottles outside, played in the playhouse, and just had fun running all over the place.

Fun times.
Oliver with his squirt bottle.

They wanted to spray Mommy because she was a "girl."
Little squirts.
Messing around with his sweaty hair.  He
played with Riley for 1/2 after our daycare friends left.
He got hot, because he won't wear short sleeves and shorts.
Oliver is into tattoos right now.  We put these on
after his bath.  Flowers, pirate, and map.
(Nice combination.)  Silly kid.
