Park and Volcano

We had a busy day!  Mommy and Oliver did some errands on the way over to Grammie and Grandpa's house.  He hung out for a little bit while Mommy went to the Y for a break and then to a quick little appointment.  Oliver played with Grandpa and watched some football and Toy Story.  Mommy is so thankful for their help!

After we went and played at Stagecoach Park.  Oliver had fun on the playground, but his favorite part were the stone walls up near the old Adobe Stagecoach Stop.  We had fun at the park!

We came home to rest, do some chores, and make a volcano!  We've had all the volcano supplies for a while now--we finally got around to making it today!  It was fun, fun, fun!

Running to the playground.

Cuteness.

Somewhere up there.

He was really into the water!

He was asking a lot of questions at the park about where
the water goes and also wanted to talk a lot about
the construction of the playground equipment.  This
little 4 year old thinks a lot!

Happiness!

Walking up to the Stagecoach stop.

Kind of random...(Mommy really feels
like playing tennis.  Mainly to just hit the
ball around and laugh.  She isn't very
good at it.)  She needs to gather up some
tennis equipment first!

The Ruins.

Looking at the ruins.

Oliver thought that it was interesting.  We've
been here a lot of times.

Mommy is pretty sure she has put these in a blog
before, but she just loves looking at them!

He loved playing here!  He played here longer
than on the playground.  Mommy got to sit, rest, and read
for a bit.  It was kind of nice!

He asked Mommy to take a picture!
Mommy liked this big eucalyptus tree!  It was huge!

Another random picture at home.  He earned
a blow up ball....

...what was Mommy thinking???

Our Volcano:

The directions.  (Mommy likes the title!)

Some of our supplies.

Ready to start making the salt dough.  Oliver
couldn't stop playing with his bottle.  Silly.

We got it all put together.  If we ever make another
one, Mommy would double or even triple the salt dough
recipe to make the mountain bigger!  Oliver didn't care though!

We took it outside to "blow up."

We put lots of baking soda and vinegar in it to make
the lava flow out.

We discovered if we put our fingers in it to swish it
up, the lava would come out faster.  It is kind of silly
looking, but so much fun!

Fun, fun, fun!  (Mommy wonders how much
it can "blow-its-top" and what it looks like
when it does!)   We only got little blow-ups.
We will definitly do this again.
