Goodness

We had another day full of goodness, just like Martin King Jr. Day is supposed to be.  Mommy really likes this quote by King:

"Intelligence plus character- that is the true goal of education."

She hopes to help Oliver achieve this as well as her students.

Here is some of our goodness:

Swim at the Y.

(Johnny, he seems clean.  But you never know.)

Overcast.

Excited to practice his swimming for an hour!

Playing with neighbor friends while Mommy rested
and worked in the garden.

Our camera finally taking the kinds of pictures
it should be taking.  Lettuce.

Sunflower.

Can't remember right now.

Mexican sage.

Not sure.

Boys.

This tree is thriving!

Bike ride!

So good!

Meow.

Watching a movie, eating dinner, and resting in his
tent.  He is sleeping in it now.
Such a nice day.

Stuff

We had a lot of stuff to do today.

We went to Red Lobster and used a gift card a
student gave Mommy last year.

Oysters!

Oliver had his raw.

Mommy had hers steamed.

We didn't eat lobster.  Even with a gift card, sit
down restaurants are a little bit too expensive for us.

Then we went to the Carlsbad half marathon
expo near by to get Mommy's bib number
for tomorrow.  Mommy needs to remember
to bring a bag of shoes tomorrow!  She
has been looking for an organization that
is collecting old shoes.  Yay!

Expo tents.

Oliver won Mommy a free month of classes
to a yoga studio.  The lady seemed a little irritated.
Mommy may try it out!

Oliver got a lot of swag.  His favorite stations
were the San Diego Police Dept. and the border
patrol.  They are trying to recruit people.  Oliver
isn't old enough yet....

Happy with his swag.

He was FULL of stories today!

Mommy is not looking forward to the lines at these
tomorrow.  Her goal for the half is TO RUN HAPPY!
She has to say it here because maybe it will
cement in her head and she won't push herself
to hard.  Her dizziness finally drifted away earlier
this week, so she wants to be careful, just in case!

On the way home we went to the Indian Store, Oliver
used his gift certificate from Christmas.

He looked at stuff forever.

We needed to stop at Target too for some sunglasses
other stuff.  These are very appropriate for Oliver.

Oliver is off with his Daddy again.  Mommy will see him tomorrow at 2:00.  (Goodnight and sweet dreams.)

Donut Wednesday

We had a warm Donut Wednesday this morning.

We got our donuts last night in our jammies.

Mommy was too cold to walk around and take pictures.

Our masterpiece.

(Mommy's tea.)

He sat here for a second...

Then moved here to watch....
That is Mommy's other breakfast, a lot of greens
in the blender with some coconut water.  Best
way to start the day!

The rest of an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie!
Not this one, another one that is already put away
and ready to be taken to the library.

Oliver is off with his Daddy.  Mommy will see him on Saturday to spend time with him while his Daddy works to make up time for those school power outages!  Mommy misses him already.

Prizes

Mommy picked up Oliver this afternoon and we went to pick up his popcorn prizes!  He got a lot of them!

Waiting for Grady!

Prizes!

All the dens prizes.

But there is one of his knives and his tent!

He got some rough house playing in too!

  1. Not pictured is Oliver sleeping in his tent right now.  In his room of course!  (Goodnight and sweet dreams.)

Normal Goodness

We had one of our normal weekend days filled with tons of goodness.

Crawdad Fishing:

Lots of mud.

Lots of tree cutting and clearing was done since
the last time we came.

Fishing.

Reading and stretching for fun!

Playdate:

Mommy got dinosaur excavation kits for Noah
and Oliver.

The little archeologists had a lot of fun!

They got the dinosaur bones, but still need to figure
out how to put them together.  That part was not as easy!

Chores:

Mommy caught up on a bunch of things.
One of them was making sure Oliver's report was
in order.  It was due Thursday, but remember the
power was out for 2 days!  His report was ready!
So is his Irish ancestor doll!

He interviewed Grandpa!

And wrote all about himself!

Playdate continued:

More kids!

Mess!  They did a good job cleaning up.

Plating Jurassic World.

Yay!  Fooseball!

Oliver is off with his Daddy after school tomorrow, Mommy has her early staff meeting on Tuesday.  Mommy will see Oliver on Tuesday after school.  (Goodnight and sweet dreams.)
