It is Memorial Day weekend and Mommy picked up Oliver this morning to volunteer at Oak Hill Cemetery in Escondido. Oliver put flags at the grave of veterans. There were a few Cub Scouts and a lot of Boy Scouts. We read the headstones and learned to identify veterans.
We also set up our flags at home.
He used a screwdriver to make holes in the ground.
He was very respectful and worked diligently.
A pack mom brought Petersons donuts for all
the volunteers. We will be back on Monday morning
so Oliver can help at the Memorial Day service.
Oliver is back with his Daddy now, Mommy will see her scout tomorrow at 2:00. (Goodnight and sweet dreams.)
