Camp and Reading

Oliver had an amazing day at his first Cub Scout Camp!  It was at Kit Carson Park!  Mommy volunteered the whole day and will be back tomorrow- she was able to get a discount on his camp fee if she helped out!  Mommy would have helped anyway, it was fun!  But, we were both pretty tired at the end of the day!

Ready to camp!

Oliver and Grady with their hats, coin purses,
and belt packs- all the scouts are provided with
all three!  Nice!

Mommy wishes she could take more pictures, but
she was BUSY!  She doesn't want to embarrass
Oliver either.

She was busy getting the Trading Post ready.
Boys earn the coins for making good choices
and then get to spend them at the post.  Mommy
and two other moms set it all up.

Fun!

Sneaking a picture.

It gets pretty crazy when they come spend their coins!

We packed everything up and came home for a few minutes...

Then had some things we needed to do near Grammie's.
One was go sign up for the Summer Reading Program.
1st day!

Mommy signed up!

These two signed up!

Oliver reporting to Jacob, a scholar
from one of Mommy's old schools!

Claire was the volunteers first reporter.
We came at shift change time!  Claire
waited so patiently while the librarian
explained everything.

Claire answered the questions at the "Lobbery"
very well.  Her book was about "numbers" and
her favorite number was "green."  She did show
her favorite page beautifully!

This wall will fill up with names!

Choosing their free just right books!

Checking out a Superhero collection.

(Goodnight and sweet dreams.)
