Decoding and Voting

We had a nice evening together.

At dinner we went through our mail:

Oliver checked out the Target toy catalog.  Mommy
usually hides it from him.  She decided to see
what interested him.

He really wants a smart phone.  Great.

Mommy gave him her smart phone instead
to get his mind off this new, weird desire
he has for technology.

She asked him to read the her phone.

This is what it said....

He did an awesome job decoding the
word and chunking the sounds.  Good
readers laugh at funny things.  Oliver
is becoming a good reader!!!  Yay!

Mommy was sad that she could not take Oliver
to vote this election.  Not enough voters voted
last election in our area so they could not open a
polling place, they sent the ballots instead.  Pfft.
We talked about it though!  Mommy also is voting
"NO" on this smart phone thing.  NO!!!!

Mommy votes "YES" on writing his books
and being respectful while she got her hair
done at our neighbors home!

(Goodnight and sweet dreams.)
