Oliver came home this evening and we played for a couple of hours. Mommy took out all our Christmas boxes to get ready for decorating this week. We have the week off for Thanksgiving so we will be playing catch up with our home!!!
Lego and Christmas Mess!
We only decorated our table with our place mats!
(Mommy still needs to put a paint on the table to help
protect it. Maybe Christmas break!)
Mommy makes simple place mats with picture
Christmas cards she receives! Now its definitely a
table where many rich people sit!
Oliver fell asleep early tonight on the
way to Grammie and Grandpas!
(This picture reminded Mommy of an
excerpt of a poem she read today by
one of her favorite poets and authors:)
Amazing Peace
By Maya Angelou
It is the Glad Season.
Thunder ebbs to silence and lightning sleeps quietly in the corner.
Flood waters recede into memory.
Snow becomes a yielding cushion to aid us
As we make our way to higher ground.
Thunder ebbs to silence and lightning sleeps quietly in the corner.
Flood waters recede into memory.
Snow becomes a yielding cushion to aid us
As we make our way to higher ground.
Hope is born again in the faces of children
It rides on the shoulders of our aged as they walk into their sunsets.
Hope spreads around the earth. Brightening all things,
Even hate which crouches breeding in dark corridors.
It rides on the shoulders of our aged as they walk into their sunsets.
Hope spreads around the earth. Brightening all things,
Even hate which crouches breeding in dark corridors.
In our joy, we think we hear a whisper.
At first it is too soft. Then only half heard.
We listen carefully as it gathers strength.
We hear a sweetness.
The word is Peace.
At first it is too soft. Then only half heard.
We listen carefully as it gathers strength.
We hear a sweetness.
The word is Peace.
