Hula Hoop Day

Along with celebrating Veterans Day, it was also World Hoop Day!  Since Mommy loves to hula hoop so much we decided to go celebrate at a World Hoop event.  We were both excited to go on an adventure!  It was in Ocean Beach, exciting!

Guilty Oliver peeling off the pink stuff
on Mommy's hoop while she was
 driving earlier.  Naughty.

We saw this weird van.  Oliver asked why
it had wings.

Mommy got lost.  (She didn't bring a map, but sometimes
getting lost is a good thing.  You can discover some pretty
neat things!  Like that weird van.)

Finally found Sunset Cliffs Blvd.

And then Newport Avenue.

It was 5:00 when we got there and he was out!
But Mommy woke him up...

Even though there was no World Hoop
event happening in the grassy patch by the pier. They
were supposed to be there between 4 and 7 pm.
We saw some hoopers who said the event had
been moved to an earlier time.  Mommy
didn't check their website.  Oh well.

We hooped for a few minutes.  Mommy
had to get some pictures to document it.  Of course.

Oliver was still sleepy.  Mommy liked the misty fog.
Fun.  Oliver didn't want to get his hoop.  Not fun.

We went and explored a couple places on
Newport Avenue.  He is asking for a quarter...

Fun!

Our mutilated mexican food.  It was yummy.  Lots of
leftovers, maybe for breakfast!
Yums!

We found a neat Jungle Coffee shop.
We sat for a while and drank coffee and horchata.
Oliver wanted to share the seat with Mommy.

He wanted to eat more of his food too.

And he wanted to show Mommy his boo boo.
Mommy is glad that he is home and that we
were able to still have a fun adventure!
