Slow Sunday

We had kind of a slow easy Sunday.  We like slow days, Mommy is finally learning how to slow down...(kind of...).  We hung out at our home in the morning and then went to Grammies for a bit.  Oliver had fun with Grammie while Mommy took a Y break.  We hung out with Grammie for a bit more when Mommy came back.

Then we stopped by our favorite coffee shop.  The coffee shop always has an artist's work displayed on the walls.  For the past couple months, Mommy has really liked what has been displayed.  She finally decided to purchase a small journal with artwork on the cover by the artist.  The barista told Mommy that the artist was actually the other barista that was making Mommy's Americano!  So cool!  She gave Mommy permission to take pictures of some of her favorite pieces and put them here on the blog.  We love the coffee shop.

For the rest of the day we hung out at home and in our yard.  Oliver took a little rest break and watched some Nick Jr.  Then he came outside and helped Mommy.  We were busy!  We planted some sunflowers, petunias, cucumbers, corn, and tore out a lot of weeds!  We had a nice Sunday!

Little Owl being silly at the coffee shop.  He has
such a happy face.

This piece is called Edward.
(Mommy likes the dark hair.)

Can't remember what this one is called...but it is
kind if weird.  (Mommy likes weird.)

This one is called "Faint Love."  Sweet.
Here is the artist's information.  You can click
on this link to look at her art.  Not all of it is
there, Mommy wants to see more!

Our outside adventures- this is our growing pumpkin patch.

Our growing "Three Sisters."  We put in bamboo stakes
on Allison's Beans.  Hopefully they work!
We planted more Sunflower seeds in an
area behind Oliver's playhouse.

Oliver put a couple of seeds in the ground.

Oliver has been really into giving Mommy Roly Polies.
He brings them in our home a lot and gives them to her outside!
We like watching them crawl all over us and also
turn into little round balls.

Oliver on his way to Mommy...

to give her a feather.  He identified it as a crows feather.
Mommy thinks he is correct.  He put it on our nature
shelf inside later.  We have a lot of crows that visit,
they like our Pecan Trees.  Mommy likes crows.

Playing in his playhouse.  He is explaining something
to Mommy.  He is so cute.
