French Cafe

This morning Oliver and Mommy went on an adventure.  We went to a French cafe on Grand Avenue in the old cute part of Escondido.  It is called A Delight of France Cafe.  It was very quaint, cozy, the customer service was awesome, and the food was yummy.  Oliver chose our table and we ate our croissants and fruit together.  Oliver picked out a croissant with a little bit of chocolate inside, of course.  He was great company.

The rest of the day was nice.  We visited Grammie again for a Mommy Y break and some cuddle time with Grammie for Oliver.  Then we came home for the rest of the day and rested and did a bunch of cleaning.  Oliver really likes to help Mommy clean, it is cute.

Happy Sunday.  (Looking forward to this week!)

French Cafe on Grand

The back of the cafe.  You can see it from
Valley Parkway.

Choosing his croissant.

The baker was putting out the rich pastries
while were eating.  It was fun seeing what he
brought out.

Oliver's croissant.

He loved it!

He shared some with Ranger Rick.

Mommy's croissant.  She didn't think she would be
able to eat the whole thing...

But it was so yummy all that was left was a flaky
mess on her plate.  Yum.

Yummy warm decaf coffee.
Oliver ordered a special treat for his visit with Grammie.

He ordered it and paid for it all by himself.

This is what he brought to share with Grammie.
They said it was very, very rich.  There is some left
over.  Mommy might have to sneak a taste.

Looking out of the cafe.  It was so cozy in there.
(Mommy thinks maybe she will go back next weekend
when Oliver is with his Daddy.  Mommy thinks it would
be nice to get cozy with something good to read, sip
some warm chamomile tea and pretend she is in Paris.  Perfect!)

There is an antique mall across the street.
An adventure for another day!

Oliver cleaned and dusted the television.
He did a really great job!  Cuteness.
