Tonight Mommy and Oliver went to Cruisin' Grand! We had so much fun walking, eating dinner, looking at the cars, and laughing!
Mommy has always liked cars! When she was in grade school she wished for a VW Rabbit to be her first car, then later she really really wanted an early 90s Mustang, and then later she wanted a Subaru Outback! She even had a picture of one on her bulletin board. An Adventure Subaru Forester is close enough! In Mommy's spare time she has been learning a little bit about different automobiles. Its been kind of fun! Mommy wonders what kind of car Oliver will wish for someday. He is pretty good at recognizing different styles of cars, especially the ones that Mommy has driven!
Here are a bunch of pictures in the order of our fun cruise on Grand:
Driving on Grand.
Alien PT Cruiser!
Oliver liked this tank thing!
Military Jeep!
Oliver was very interested in this race car...
even more when Bob let us sit in the car!
The side streets of Grand are filled with cars too!
Vroom!
(Mommy saw her sweet dog.)
We went into a neat store called the "Rustic Sparrow."
(Mommy wants a captain's portrait on her wall.)
Oliver loves to go to stores like this with Mommy!
(Rock.)
There were a ton of El Caminos there!
Oliver with the teen Princesses from Escondido!
Look at his cute face, lucky kid!
(Just so you know, National Princess week starts on Sunday!)
New Deli! It was yum!
Oliver got a hot dog!
We ate together inside!
Mommy let Oliver have the bacon from her chicken
wrap. (Not that bacon isn't good or anything.)
Oliver liked that "monster truck!"
We had to visit...
the candy store!
Popeye Spinach!
(Do you need some of this?)
Oliver got a picture of Mommy right after she
whispered to her Pirate that she was tired.
(He let her lay her head on his shoulder.)
Low Riders. We think we've seen the one in the front
in our neighborhood!
Boo-boo, but pretty rust!
Oliver liked the Jeep driving.
We chose the brown truck to get our picture taken
together. (Mommy likes brown.)
That red truck had horns or something on the seats
and it made a weird whooshing noise, maybe it was
like a low rider truck?
Grand Avenue is special! We are lucky to live so close
to such a great street!
On our way home, look at those tires!
Happy Friday!
