Honesty

Right before Oliver's 2nd birthday, he decided that he would pick out his own clothes everyday.  And unfortunately he is kind of like Mommy, comfort is more important than fashion.  Oh well.  Sometimes it can be kind of annoying because Oliver will wear really warm clothes on hot days and for a while he wouldn't wear anything but pajamas.  School pictures are on Thursday and Mommy wants him to actually wear something cute.  So, she took him to Old Navy and we used his birthday gift card from Grammie to get some new clothes for the warmer weather and for picture day.  Oliver picked out a really nice outfit, jean shorts and a button up plaid top.  Mommy was happy with his choice, he looks cute in jeans but he never wears them!

On the way home we were talking about his new outfit and picture day and he told Mommy he wasn't going to wear them.  Instead he was going to wear that green and blue striped polar fleece top he always wears.  Mommy told him that he lied to her.  (Mommy likes to be honest.)  We talked about what lying meant.  Mommy wants to teach Oliver to be "truthful" (along with a couple other traits...).  Oliver has been starting to tell little lies lately, but usually confesses later....so Mommy's little chats with him about being truthful are working.  He said later that he will still wear his new outfit to picture day on Thursday.  So, cross your fingers, hopefully he is telling Mommy the truth.

Playing when we got home, he knocked down Donald.
And then he rammed into Mommy.
