This afternoon Oliver and Mommy headed to Children’s Hospital in San Diego- again. Oliver had his cast removed-again. But this time they did not put another cast on, the doctor said it was still a little soft, but he should be careful for the next couple of weeks. Oliver was more comfortable this time when his cast was removed and is adapting well to having it off. Mommy is so proud of him.
On a whim, Mommy and Oliver decided to head over to Old Town in San Diego. Mommy wanted to go in the Whaley House- an old “haunted” mansion- it is actually the oldest brick building in Southern California. Unfortunately, it is closed on Wednesdays. We had fun on the porch though!
We had fun walking around for a bit and looking in windows, playing on the steps of old houses, eating freshly made tortillas, and picking out a little bit of candy from the old fashioned candy store.
It is fun going on adventures with Oliver- he likes to learn about things as much as Mommy does. On the way there Oliver asked Mommy, “Why hasn’t Old Town fallen apart?” Mommy thought that was pretty cute- so we had a good discussion about how we can take good care of things so that they don’t fall apart.
We are off now to give Eileen a little break so she can watch her hubby play in his band. Busy day.
Getting his cast cut off
Oliver and Ronald- Oliver was getting upset at him for
some reason.
Running towards Old Town.
He is happy! Mommy just asked him if he wanted to go
in the candy store.
Mommy redirected his attention to something different. Jawbreakers
and a 3 year old- probably not a good thing.
Cute display.
He knows how to fill his bag...too well.
Cuteness- never would look at the camera though.
Information about the Whaley House- if you click on it, you
should be able to read it.
Trying to open the door- we will be back!
On the porch...Oliver liked the streetlight-
it had a real flame inside.
Our yummy fresh tortillas.
Doing a little dance as he ate his tortilla.
Asleep on the way home. He has drool smeared across his
cheek. He is so cute.
