Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Day!!! Mommy did it and Oliver was there to greet her at the end with Grammie and Grandpa!!!  Mommy got a little sick at the end so we didn't get to go slow and look around much.  But Mommy is glad that her family all helped and was there to show support for this goal she set for herself!  Mommy hopes that Oliver will learn how fun, educational, and satisfying goal setting can be in your life!

Here are some pictures:
Uncle Chad helped Mommy avoid the parking
situation and dropped her off at this bridge early
in the morning.  Mommy is very thankful.

Start Line!

(Mommy's Tree.)
She sat with this tree to get ready
before the race!

Mommy ran the race well.  Her goal was to try and
run it under 4 hours!  She did it!

But, now this shirt we thought was funny
has a whole new meaning to Mommy and Oliver, who
watched her get really sick.
She looked like that for a few minutes after the race.
Oliver thinks its funny now that he made the
connection to the shirt we saw!

Uncle Matthew was at the finish line volunteering
his medical knowledge and skills to the runners!
If you watch the video at the bottom of this
link, you can see Uncle Matthew at the end!

Mommy felt so yucky for awhile that she didn't
want to get her free Team Geico massage!  The
shirt was kind of fun to wear!  She hopes to win other
stuff still!!!

Mommy and Grammie.

Playing and ready to go!

Oliver and Mommy.
He wouldn't look up, but loves his visor, Mommy looks sick.
Just documenting!
Trolley ride back to our car!

Petco Park from the trolley!

Mommy's supporters!

While waiting in the car to leave the stadium we watched
some cats racing!

Fun!

We stopped at the Loflen's to get our
stuff and car!  Thanks Aunt Jess and Claire
for getting Oliver ready this morning!
  Like Grammie's shirt?
She likes to leave tags on things for
some reason.

Mommy likes Grammie's shirt choice!  Its like
a postage stamp!

Mommy's first marathon medal!
Mommy's results: 3hrs 33min 54secs! 8min 10sec miles.
17th out of 538 in age group!
AND, Mommy qualified for the Boston Marathon.
This race is considered a "qualifying race."
(One of Mommy's next goals?  That would be fun and inspiring!)

Finally Mommy can put up a magnet like this!!!

Happy Sunday!
