Mommy picked up Oliver early this evening and we went to the lake for a little walk and picnic. Visiting the lake on Sunday evenings has become a nice transition time for Mommy and Oliver after the weekends we spend apart from each other. We get to laugh, talk, and play before going home together.
Date Lane.
Oliver was headed to the bathroom and look who
magically appeared in the parking lot...his Warden
Daddy. (Funny.) Oliver said Hi and Goodbye
and then we were off for our walk.
Oliver swung first...
While Mommy...
dreamed.
Making dirt angels.
Mommy likes that painted sign.
We spotted something up ahead.
Oliver's Warden Daddy again. (Sigh.)
Mommy explained to Oliver that it would
not be a good idea to walk on the trail near
where his Daddy was working. It would not
be safe. Luckily the bend in the trail that
leads to the lake was before where his Daddy
was parked.
Bliss. We saw lots of neat things!
So pretty!
Bird tracks.
Acorns on the shore.
(A nice pair.)
Then Mommy looked and saw something coming
through the bushes...a fisherman with his son and then
right after him, you probably guessed it- Oliver's
Warden Daddy.
Oliver was excited to see him.
They hugged hi and goodbye.
(Mommy whined a goodbye.)
Headed back.
Our lake time together has been very important
to transitioning into a positive beginning of the week.
Oliver went back to swinging and Mommy to dreaming.
We giggled on our drive home!
Happy Sunday!
