Last Day

Today was Oliver's last day of 4th grade...mom dropped him off down the street so he could walk to school.  She's sad he's getting close to no more elementary school.

So sad, that she went to a lot of trouble to get Cherifer
to sub for her so she could get Oliver after school.

But first she turned in her ballot at school.

And taught a ton of kids....

how to paint rocks.

Then she picked him and Ben up in Greg's classroom.

Then him and Ben looked at bikes...

and made sundaes.

Yum...

but really gross.  They had fun though.

Maybe too much fun.

Oliver had fun at jj and mom and Ben had
fun walking.
Yay for summer break!  Oliver will be
off with his dad in the morning, mom will
see him Friday for a nice summery together weekend.

Home

Oliver is home.  We're both tired and delirious with last week of school syndrome.  Mom will post pics later.

Update: we played frisbee and bird watched.  Simple pleasures.

Stripes and Dogs

Oliver earned a stripe at JJ tonight and we picked up some dogs from mom's good friend's house that were watching this week.  Oliver liked the tree and garden at his home.  It was sweet.

Oliver is off with his dad in the morning.  Mom will see him Monday for the last week of school!  Yay, for almost summer!  We both need a break!!!

Memorial Day

We spent the day in San Diego attending a Padres game and the rest at home.  We had a nice Memorial Day and had an opportunity throughout the Padres game to remember and honor those who served our country.  We appreciate what they gave so that we can live in the U.S.A.

The San Diego Library...

Oliver though Jimi was Michael Jackson...giggles.

We had a nice Memorial Day.

Fishing

Oliver fished in a new spot to mom.  We got bait at a fancy grocery store in Del Mar.  Oliver called in his personal warden- that's what happens when a ten year old has a phone.

This looked sooooo yummy....but $4.99 a pound?!?!

We thought this looked yummy too....but $5.99!?!?!
We'll keep looking for sales elsewhere.

The fishing spot.

Lots of birdwatching.

Oliver found three different kinds of crabs!

He caught some kind of fish.

Oliver and his dad.

Checking his license.

Oliver actually doesn't need one at the ocean
until he's 16.

A family gave him the their leftover squid bait.

Later we fished for deals at an estate sale:

Oliver in the tree...

Best find for Oliver.

He kept putting it on mom's car....silly kid.

We had a wonderful weekend....busy, but good.
