We had big plans for today. We were going to go to the Earth Day Fair at Balboa Park, have fun, learn a lot, and wear our matching shirts. But we decided last night that we were going to celebrate Earth Day by being earthly home bodies instead.
Oliver made some lemonade with lemons from
our trees.
Mommy told him to get a coaster for his
cup, he was drinking it in the Bernadette
room. He brought in a "coaster."
Mommy really wanted to get dirty in
our yard, but....
she has a research paper due in 2 weeks.
Boy Scout Camping next weekend too!
So, Mommy needs to get writing!
Even though our sunflower patch is whispering
her name, calling for help. Some pest ate most
of the seeds she planted 2 weeks ago, Mommy
told the pest to stop. (The pest doesn't listen.)
Earthly Home Bodies! We still wore our shirts!
The neighborhood kid club played for
a long time today. They did a good
job of cleaning up there junk.
Mommy does not like when they leave stuff
everywhere. They cleaned up a lot and
we talked about how to keep our
yard pretty and safe. Just like we need
to do our best to keep Planet Earth pretty
and safe.
Oliver will be off with his Daddy and Scout tomorrow after school. Mommy has a big meeting on Tuesday! Mommy will miss Oliver and hopes he gets a lot of his homework done tomorrow night!
