Donut Wednesday

We love Donut Wednesday!  We had a nice time together this morning!

Hungry

Today we both had periodic bouts of hunger.  

Mommy is hungry for days like this---when

she gets to drop off and pick up Oliver at school.

He was so happy to see Mommy outside his

classroom when he came back from music class

to pack up!

Hungry for writing, plants, and first grade growth.

We were seriously hungry at 4:00 for

Souplantation!

(Hunger Hmmms...)

Swim

We had a nice swim together tonight!

During swim lessons, he waits while others

learn.  He is ready to go to the next level, with

a new teacher in the competition pool!  

Was working on back stroke.

After lessons he dresses in the boys changing room.

Mommy usually waits outside.

(And waits, and waits, and waits.)

Here comes her superhero pajama head!

We worked on homework and sight words again!

(Hmmm.)

He said he would wait on the bleachers 

while Mommy swam.  That lasted 1.5 minutes.

He put on his suit and jumped on!

Nourishment

We had another full day, this one kind of full of errands and chores.  But still kind of fun!

We started the morning with this

We went and were nourished by the water and the Y.

And the sky.

Oliver said something funny here, Mommy

can't remember what it was, but it

nourished Mommy.

Thinking.  

Being silly in Johnny.

We put Johnny through so much.

(Oh well, he deserves it.)

We went and nourished ourselves with 

spelling words and sight words.

Mommy gave him this as his last practice

word for our study session.

She thought this was funny.  Oliver laughed!

But its not true, he has a ton of words 

to nourish both of us left in his box.

And a lot of milk to drink.  Mommy

thinks he is going through another 

growth spurt!
