Monday Highlights

Mommy and Oliver took the day off from our daycare for Presidents' Day. We had a nice day. Here are some of our favorite things we did today:

Trader Joe's in the morning! Oliver hasn't used a little

cart in a long time! He loves going there. He always wants

to go to the back and eat the samples first!

(Mommy likes that elephant.)

We had a chance to work for a couple of hours in our

backyard! Oliver used a rope....

...to pull the rose bush out of the ground. Mommy

loosened it to make it real easy....

Now we are ready for our purple lantana to start growing

in this area! It smells yummy!

Tire Shop. We got an email reminding

us to get our tires rotated and checked for air.

We didn't get them rotated it would have been

a long wait. But Oliver had fun looking at the tires

and wheels.

Oliver took care of his sick animals and gave them

roses. (Sweet animals.)

Blue Water Show! Its so peaceful listening too

and watching the water. (Mommy likes peace.)

This morning we were driving to Grammie's home. Oliver was thinking about his visit that he was going to have with his Daddy later. Oliver said, "Mommy can we borrow your super glue so Daddy and me can fix his Jeep?" Mommy laughed, she thought that was pretty funny.

Oliver played with Grammie while Mommy took a Y break. Then at Grammie's we found some super glue so Oliver could take it to his Daddy's house. Oliver was pretty excited about the glue! He had just finished watching a Nick Jr. show where the character got glue all over him and kept getting things stuck on him! (Making connections is always so much fun!) Oliver had a nice time with his Daddy.

Oliver and Mommy had a nice evening at home together! Happy Sunday!

Mommy just had to snap a picture pretty quick and

off she went to let them get to work!

Oliver said goodbye to his Daddy. He was

checking out the damage to his poor Jeep.

(It might be time for his Daddy to get a new fender flare.

Just Mommy's honest opinion.)

Oliver brought these home from his Daddy's house.

They all had broken limbs with casts! Mommy's not

sure what happened to them.

But Mommy is taking good care of her favorite

brown bear. (He will always be taken

care of when he is with Mommy, seriously.)

A peak at our new daycare rug and mat! The room is

still in progress! The room environment is kind of taking a

different direction. Mommy liked the colors and learning opportunities

the rug offers! Oliver loves it! Mommy thinks the babies

will notice right away!

Adventures

Today we went on some adventures. They all had to do with fun and bargains!

First Adventure: Vons! Oliver got a cheap donut for breakfast. Yum. Good thing he didn't eat the whole thing!

Second adventure: Finding a house in Carmel Mountain to buy a daycare rug. We found it on Craigslist. (Mommy likes Craigslist. But sometimes the suspense of finding something good and wondering if you will get it can be a little overwhelming.) We got our rug though!

There were a lot of hills leading to the rug house. Mommy

missed the street because she was thinking about how much fun

it would be to run on those hills!

(Mommy is crazy. Oh well.)

After the rug we were off to the Y and Grammies! Adventures!

Third adventure: A free concert at the VW dealership in Escondido put on by Sophie 103.7!

Ingrid Michaelson!!!

Not many people were there at 12:45. The concert was

supposed to start at 1:00.

A kid held up a sign that said, "I want to sing with

you Ingrid!" She let him. They sang a song called

"Chain." She wasn't going to do that song but she

did it with him. Everyone was super impressed! He was good!

Fourth Adventure: Toys r' Us for another bargain!

Well, the claw machine isn't a bargain.

Unless you win and we didn't. But

it is always worth a try!

They were on sale!

Fifth Adventure: Trying to rest and get things done at home! The rest part doesn't work that well. Mommy wants to rest, Oliver doesn't want her too. Its kind of an adventure figuring out how to deal with that tiny problem....
