Potpourri

We did a lot of different stuff today!  Oliver had fun cuddling with Grammie and watching football while Mommy took a Y break in the morning.  Then we were off to get some things done!

Library!  Always has to check the fountain!

And check out the doll house.

We stopped by Home Dept.  We don't
know the little girl, but she was sweet and
Mommy thinks this is the cutest picture!

Fish!

Oliver the fish!

We stopped by Aunt Ali's store too!  We got some gel
paint.  Oliver put a little too much on his leaf.  Of course,
Mommy wasn't supervising which explains the amount of paint.
(At times like this she really just needs that chair....)

We got out our Christmas decorations.  Maybe we will
put them up tomorrow!

We worked outside for a bit.  Pretty
flowers.

Oliver cuts weeds, while Mommy
pulls them out!  We are getting a lot!

Our Radish.  Chloe likes eating them!

We went for a long walk this evening.
Mommy took Oliver to Major Market,
a neat grocery store.  He liked it!

They have a bunch of neat Christmas decorations.
Mommy likes this ice skate.

Mommy showed Oliver the croissants.
But all he could see were the cookies.

He liked looking at the live lobsters!

Lobster!

Oliver wanted some orange chicken for dinner,
Mommy got some shrimp and rice.  We
have a ton left over.  (Want some?)

Eating fortune cookies!

Our fortunes.  (Mommy's is on the bottom.)

Walk

Oliver came home today.  We went for a nice walk to Jimbos with our babies.  Oliver loves our new craigslist double stroller!  Mommy does too!

Cuteness.

Pretty tree.

Oliver likes this silly yard art.

Wheatgrass.  (Mommy likes this silly wheatgrass.)

The other view.  (Yum.)

We read 10 Naughty Monkeys this afternoon.

Oliver thought it was a silly book.

The Monkeys were very naughty, silly, and didn't listen
to their Monkey Mommy.  (Mommy feels like a Monkey
Mommy sometimes.  But is she just a monkey?)

Happy Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!  Oliver and Mommy had fun being with family today!

Oliver giving Rachel a bracelet he made for her.

Waylon, growing, growing, growing!

Cutest picture ever!

Coloring a turkey.

Uncle Chad showing off his mustache and beard.
He is growing one for Movember, you can learn more about it here.
(Mommy has some friends participating too!  Its definitely for a good cause.)

Ready for dinner!

Playing!

Playing some more!

We made "The Story of Thanksgiving" bracelets.

Here is the story and the colors you need.  Mommy tries to do this with Oliver every year, so he remembers why we celebrate Thanksgiving.

THANKSGIVING RETELLING BRACELET
Use these colored beads to retell the story of the first Thanksgiving.
First brown bead represents the Pilgrims leaving England for religious freedom
Next white bead represents the sails on the Mayflower
3 blue beads for the long trip over the ocean
1 green for when they spy land
3 white (or clear glitter) for the snow during the long winter
1 green for the arrival of spring
1 tan for the Native Americans who helped the Pilgrims
4 beads for the foods served at the first Thanksgiving
1 red for cranberries,
1 yellow for corn
1 brown for turkey
1 orange for pumpkins

Bracelet making.

Fun.

Mommy's bracelet.

Playing with Waylon!

Can you tell Waylon was popular tonight?

Roughhousing.  It went a little too far
and Oliver came running to Mommy crying.
They stopped pretty quick when Mommy asked
Oliver if he was ready for desert.

Sweetness.

More Sweetness.

Yum.

Yum again!

We had a nice time!  Lots of playing, eating turkey, playing and baking!  Happy Happy Thanksgiving!

Oliver is back with his Daddy until tomorrow!  See you soon little man!

Donut Wednesday

Donut Wednesday!  Yippee!

 Looking at the turkey donut.
Saving our seats.  The last two times a
bunch of old men have been at our usual table.
(All the old men don't bother Mommy much.)
But Oliver sure gets annoyed!

Deciding on a croissant.

Oliver's croissant.

Oliver's donut hole.

Mommy's donut.  (She kind of needed it.)

Mommy is saving some for later.  (Maybe.)

Mommy's coffee.

Yums.

Silly kid.

Oliver is off with his daddy after preschool.  See you tomorrow for some turkey little man!
