Children's Museum

We had a fantastic day!  Oliver and Mommy headed over to Grape Day Park again to visit the slide, have a little picnic, and go to the Children's Museum for the first time!   We discovered tons of neat things, Oliver loved climbing up the tree house- Mommy had to go with him each time because he couldn't get up it yet on his own.  We had fun playing outside too!  We definitely want to go back!

The rest of day was really nice.  Oliver fell asleep listening to a chapter in our book- Mommy can hear him snoring a little right now.  Sweet dreams little man.

We picked up some yummy Mexican food at
this little restaurant...it is right down the
street from our home.  It's fun
discovering new places!

We played pin ball with a gum ball while we were
waiting for our lunch
We played on the grape stems.
We had a little picnic next to the fountain.  It was
nice listening to the rush of the water.
Oliver was impressed with the tractor.

a little boy that was down below.
Oliver loved sending and receiving messages.  The little
boy sent us a message that said, "Get down here now!"

He got really into it...he didn't want to wear the waterproof

He loved this exhibit!

Flowers and Coffee

Oliver and Mommy had a nice Saturday.  We hung around our home in the morning with one of our daycare kiddos, who spent the night.  We had a lot of fun just relaxing and playing with play dough.  Then Oliver and Mommy went to the Y-- he went to Childwatch and had a blast!  He hasn't been in a long time!

Afterwards we stopped by our favorite coffee shop, Oliver loves all the baristas there!  Then we made our way back home and went to Korey's 1st Birthday party--see the cool pictures in the blog below!  We came home and Oliver took an awesome bath and is now sleeping peacefully.

He wanted the energy drink- Mommy redirected him
to something different.
Giving a flower to his first love, Krista.  He is so so
serious.  Mommy is training him to be a sweet
gentleman, she thinks it may be working!
Going to Korey's party today reminded Mommy of her
recent birthday.  One of Mommy's favorite gifts was from
Amanda.  She gave Mommy this necklace--It has karma,
the tree of life and Mommy thinks a lotus flower on it.  Amanda
has one too, its is like a BFF necklace. (Mommy likes her
necklace and the karma part.)  It is perfect for Amanda and Mommy!

Cleaning himself with soap- Mommy loves that he is
finally getting in the water without a wrestling match.

Korey Turns One!!!

Korey will officially turn one on Monday!  Happy Birthday baby!  Mommy has been watching him for about 8 months now!  He is one cool kid!  He is really easy going, very independent and curious, and loves people!  Mommy is so glad she gets to be part of his little life.

We had a great time at his Birthday party!  Happy Happy Birthday Korey!

Play Dough Friday

We had another busy, busy Friday with our daycare friends.  We had a lot of fun in the morning playing with play dough and a collection of cookie cutters.  Oliver is getting pretty good at using the cookie cutters, Mommy is impressed!

We were busy playing, playing, playing today!  A little bit of outdoor fun before the rain started, we stayed in the rain for a little bit too!  It felt nice and smelled so good!  Lots of running around in circles---Oliver banged into the couch and had a bloody lip and mouth.  Mommy cuddled and held him for a while (she likes to do that).  His mouth was better after a bit and he continued to run and explore around our home!

Another Adventure

This morning on the way to preschool we stopped at a new bakery.  It is a little Mexican bakery near the donut shop that always looks warm and inviting.  So we went inside!  Oliver loved looking at all the goodies- he picked out a galleta, which is basically a cookie.  Oliver liked choosing his goodie and he was very interested in the process.  We had a tray and tongs we used to grab what he wanted.  It was a fun experience!  (Mommy is always ready and "waiting" for adventures and learning experiences.)  There is another Mexican bakery on Broadway that has caught Mommy's eye.  It is always super busy, and causes little traffic jams on the busy road.  We may just need to check that one out too!

This Bakery caught Mommy's eye a while ago--Here
is a link that has some interesting information on Mexican pastries.
