His Hook

Oliver got right to work this morning with his "hook."
He gave Mommy a lot of leaves- she had fun finding room for
them on our nature collection shelf.

Oliver and Korey came over this morning.  We had a good day- we tended to little Korey a lot, he is not feeling well.  Oliver had fun playing outside and "working" on lots of things for Mommy.  Mommy showed Oliver the blog from this morning.  He liked seeing the picture of Uncle Tommy.  Grammie you will like this----he asked where Mommy's shoes were.....Oliver always notices funny things like that.

We took a nice drive to drop off Korey to his Mommy, so he can get all better.  We all had a nice day together.

Oliver is off with his Daddy now, see you Monday little man.  It looks like it is going to be a cozy, rainy weekend!

Remembering Tommy

Oliver's Uncle Tommy has been gone for 12 years now.  Mommy has some pretty funny stories to tell Oliver some day about his uncle when we were in Jr. High.   Also a few from High School-mainly sewing class-that gives Mommy the giggles thinking about sewing with Tommy.  Mommy will always keep his memory alive for Oliver.

My friend Julianne gave this to me last year.

Tommy is in the middle of all the girls.  We were going
to the Oak Crest Jr. High 9th Grade Aloha Dance -1995.

Funny Guy

Oliver had a good morning with Mommy.  He slept well last night and was in a good mood today.  Mommy took him to preschool and he was a little sad to see Mommy go, but Mommy knows he is having fun and learning a lot.

Oliver is off with his Daddy now for his long stretch.  Have fun at preschool tomorrow little man.

Eating yogurt over the coffee table- yum.

Back to School

Oliver went back to preschool this morning.  He is feeling much better and was happy to be with friends, learn from his teachers, and play on the big play structure!  Mommy picked him up in the afternoon and he came home to play and eat dinner.  He played with Riley when he came to get his little brother.  The boys had fun playing and making a big mess!

Oliver was awesome with his nightly routine- no fuss.  Mommy is proud of her little man, and so glad that he is feeling better.  That was a yucky cold.

Eating dry cereal and holding his reindog
He was hanging out in the hutch eating chicken...not a good idea.
Broccoli in his mouth- Mommy was proud of him for eating broccoli-
then he threw the rest of it on the floor.
Korey only eats baby food in jars- but he couldn't
resist Oliver's chicken leg...
He is a funny baby.  He liked how it tasted.
Oliver and Riley found this cool bear container in Oliver's room.
(Mommy likes it- it is one of her old treasures.)

Treasures from Today

Oliver was feeling much better today.  He woke up in the morning with a little smile on his face.  Mommy sang him the "Good Morning Song" by Greg and Steve- that made him smile a bit more.  We cuddled in the morning a bit and watched some Nick Jr.  We are allowing ourselves a lot of rest (its okay to be lazy...).  After we felt refreshed, we got ready and headed over to Grammie's for a bit.  Oliver played with Grammie, while Mommy went to the Y.  Oliver and Grammie love playing together- Oliver is lucky to have such a fun Grammie.

Afterwards, we visited Aunt Ali at Tuesday Morning.  Mommy promised Oliver a small toy.  He hung out in the toy aisles for awhile, he always wants the cars, jeeps, trucks, or motorcycles.  Today he picked out the blue motorcycle.  We had a nice time with Aunt Ali and then we came home for awhile.  After Oliver woke up from his nap we had a few more errands to run.  Mommy doesn't like shopping very much and she likes to get it all over in one day.  We went to Kohls where we got a few things for Christmas and Oliver got his new reindog- he is sleeping with it right now.  Then we went grocery shopping.  Oliver was awesome and Mommy is exhausted.

He can spend hours in the toy aisles at Tuesday Morning.

Looking at some treasures
We liked this toy, but then realized we had to put it together
ourselves, maybe when Oliver is older.
Oliver's treasure- another motorcycle
Dr. Seuss Book- Books are always
treasures for Mommy.  (Mommy finally finished
the treasure book she got at Julianne's
garage sale-it was amazing.)
Oliver's Reindog from a Dr. Seuss
Mommy got free roses at the grocery store...they are orange.
Oliver picked out the color--they are a nice treasure too.

Our Nature Collection

Oliver is slowly getting better.  He was very whiny again, that must be a good sign, he didn’t sleep much though.  Hopefully he gets a good nights sleep tonight.  We both need it!

Oliver played a little outside today, while Mommy was taking care of Korey.  Oliver  came to the door and brought Mommy a bunch of leaves he hacked off a tree with his walking stick.  It was pretty sweet.  Mommy put it in a spice jar that we saved and put it on our special shelf where we have been collecting things from outside.  It started with the rock and has gradually grown to a bunch of neat little treasures.   It is fun discovering things in our yard.

Poor Baby

Oliver "calling" for Mommy, he is getting a lot
of rest and love.  Hopefully he gets better real soon.
 Showing Mommy his new motorcycle
Oliver started to love anything to do with cars
with this fun guy.  (Lightning.)

Oliver is still sick.  This morning we hung out on the couch for a long time while he rested and Mommy rested- last night was a rough night, just like Mommy thought.  Oliver is still whining when he needs his nose cleaned.  He screams, “….boogers….boogers….wipe my nose!”  Mommy is trying to teach him how to use a kleenex and to ask nicely.

We went to Grammie’s in the afternoon for a bit.  Mommy took a little break while Oliver hung out with Grammie.  Of course he was an angel for Grammie…asking nicely for his nose to be wiped...it is funny how little ones just melt when they are with their Mommies.

When we came home Mommy gave Oliver a motorcycle she got for him at the drugstore.  Oliver was happy for a bit, and laid on the couch taking the tires off and trying to put them back on.  Oliver kept asking Mommy what all the parts were of his motorcycle—he also does this with his other cars.  Mommy doesn’t have all the answers (she has fun doing research online to answer his questions…some of it is over her head though, but it is still interesting and sometimes very funny…)  We had fun talking about his new motorcycle.  Hopefully Oliver feels better soon….Mommy hears him calling for her now…
