We had a restful day at home after Mom ran a half marathon and we swam at the Y together. Back to work tomorrow for Mom and Tuesday for Oliver. 2018 here we come with our resolutions, goals, and hopes for our dreams to come true.

Bunk Bed
Oliver loves his new bunk bed. Decorating his room with a fishing/plaid/outdoor theme is a work in progress. We're just happy Greg helped us get the used bed home and that Mom has the muscle to move it around on her own with Oliver to the places we wanted it. The cats like hanging out on it too. They just need help getting up there.

Wacky Wednesday
Today we had a wacky day. It was wacky at the library playing Uno together, Shane discovering letters on the computer, and Oliver getting a bloody nose. We had a wacky time altogether playing Uno and sipping our drinks at the coffee shop. At home, Oliver had fun wacking his punching bag his dad hung from a tree for him outside.
Oliver is off with his dad now. Mom will see him Friday, we had a good week together.
A Day with Ben
We invited Ben to spend the day with us while his parents were at work. Oliver and him are pretty good friends and keep each other busy! We went to see Jumanji in the morning, we highly recommend it! We walked to Sprouts and the boys ordered sandwhiches, they played at home, and we took Oliver to JJ. At the last moment, Ben decided he was too nervous and he went walking with Mom instead. He's a real sweet kid.
Oliver and Mom swam at night. We had a really nice day.

New Year's Day
Oliver came home today and we went for a nice hike. Mom told him her New Year's Resolutions for 2018 is to go on more hikes, her goal is at least one a month, and to STRETCH more! So far so good! Oliver is still thinking about his resolutions.
Mommy didn't really need her boots on this trail
but she couldn't resist.
The trail was insanely busy....
We were sitting on this rock alone and then this man
came to take a picture. Everywhere we looked there
were people. It was crazy!
This was a long line at the top to take a picture
on a rock called the Potato Chip rock...
Here is more of the crowd. It was so crowded! The thin
rock is popular to take pictures on because it looks
like you are way up high with an amazing view. Looks
are deceiving though! Honestly, Mom didn't even
know this was the trail the rock was on and she never
took pictures on it when she hiked there in the early
2000s. Giggles. We had fun hiking and people watching!
San Diego in the distance.
Oliver's read cheeks reminded me of this manzanita!
Neat rock.
Lots of rock climbers too!
So many neat rocks!
So many cars on the 67!
Such a fun peak to climb.
