Swim

The pool is FINALLY open again and Mommy was able to sign up Oliver for swim lessons on Saturdays this month!  Yay!  We had a great day!  

He had a little bit of an adjustment period to his

new swim teacher.  

Stuart came over to talk to him to tell

him it would be alright.

Oliver adjusted.

In the evening we came back for...

Some monkey business!

A movie to watch while we floated in the pool!

The movie started after the Y closed, Oliver loved that!

But first something crazy happened...

Kylie started squirting Oliver and Oliver

started through water balloons at Kylie!

(Thats Caleb the lifeguard that "saved" Oliver's

life in the pool a few months ago.)

They were all having too much fun!

Then the boss girl told them to stop, she was nice

about it though.  Oliver, Oliver getting his

lifeguard friends in trouble.

"Surf's Up" in the pool!  We watched

about 45 minutes and swam for over an

hour!  Fun, Fun!

Friday Night

 Oliver is home!  We had after school plans for dinner and Fall garden shopping at Home Depot.  We are excited for a nice weekend together.

Guess what he spotted?

A Cruisin' Grand Car!  We love looking for the

cars on Friday nights!

It was fun going here too!  Mommy went

to look at stepping stones.  She cleaned up the

sandbox area which had turned into a

feral cat litter box.  Gross!  We are going to slowly turn

that into a rock garden.  So we are looking for ideas.

These are cheap.  Not very original though.

She plans on using them in the old sandbox.

Donut Wednesday

We had a great Donut Wednesday!  We are so glad we can keep this tradition going!  Happy Wednesday!

she took.  Oh well.

Oliver is off with his Daddy.  Mommy misses him but knows he will have fun reading his homework books and playing with his puppy, Scout.  She will see him on Friday afternoon for a nice together weekend.

Homework Club

 Tuesday Homework Club continues!  Mommy is hoping for more cooperation, more motivation and fewer tears.  Tonight was great!

Our Summer Reading Challenge board that we 

are continuing to work on.

He gets a little prize when he reads 

certain genres that are on the board.

These are the prizes, there is a card that explains what he will 

get inside each envelope! 

 We'll get to a complete

Little House book someday!  We just get

sidetracked a lot!

Reading!  He is feeling proud to be in Group 4 

for reading, the "highest" reading group.

Mommy feels that Oliver's confidence is growing.

Mommy had some homework tonight too.  On an

errand after school, we saw these two cars.  She

wondered whats the difference between a Trans Am

and a Firebird?  She found out they are basically

the same thing, maybe with just different engines.

(She still can see herself driving one of these,

especially a manual.  Now she wonders is that

all they made them with?)

Another look.  Another question she had...why

would someone park a brand new Maserati in a 

CVS parking lot?  She looked up the price range...

Crazy!

But very pretty.  Just not Mommy

or Oliver's Cup of Tea.
