Saturday

Mommy and Oliver hung out together for a couple of hours today!

Oliver worked on walking a tight rope today.
(Mommy feels likes she is walking on one too.)

We also continued our Summer of Reading:

At the Escondido Library.

We were going to sign up for the reading program
that had been advertised as starting on the 19th...
Escondido Library does not have very good hours.

We searched the stacks for the children's
section...

We were having a hard time...

We looked for clues, but the whereabouts of the
the Children's section remained a mystery...

We finally thought maybe we had
found it, we followed the colorful tiles...

We found it!  But they changed the start date to
Monday the 23rd.  Oh well.  Oliver wants to do
extra reading and join both libraries programs.
So, we'll be back!!!

Mommy will see Oliver tomorrow at 5:00.  She misses him and looks forward to having a smooth, not exhausting transition with him.

Donut Adventure Wednesday

Summer Donut Wednesdays are going to include an adventure afterwards!

We had a quiet time at the donut shop.

(Picture of Mommy's donut hole here, tomorrow!)

We plan on going on either a hike after donuts or
to a park in Escondido!  We went to Felicita
Park near our home today!

Mommy drove around looking for parking on the
outside...

because you have to pay $3.00.

Oliver told Mommy to just park inside.
He had his wallet with him and he
paid the fee!  What a sweet boy!
Mommy will mention to her readers
that he has filled his wallet with all
the change from her Chair for My Mother Jar
and daily trips to her wallet....Oh well!

He pointed out the way!

He crawdad fished...

While Mommy stretched and read
a funny, inspirational book!

(Can you see the egret that was visiting?)

Oliver found a tree carving...

from 1972!  Cool!

We also are continuing our Summer
of Reading!  The Summer Reading
program starts next week at the library!

We had a fun adventure!

Oliver is off with his Daddy now, Mommy will see her fisherman on Saturday at 11:00 for a few hours and then again on Sunday at 5:00.  She misses him a lot.

Tuesday

We had a super busy day!
Morning:

After some Grammie, Claire, and Y time;
we headed up the grade to a Valley Center
Garden Club meeting to celebrate with
one of Mommy's students.

Lily, she won 1st place in a poster contest!

Mommy's friend Katherine accepting a donation to
the school.

Oliver took this picture!

Mommy and Lily!

Lily's Artwork!
Mommy is proud of her student!

Mommy is glad she made such a good, nice
friend this year.

This is what we usually look like
when we are talking to each other, happy.
(Most of the time.)

On our way home we stopped at the library
and the museum.  We love checking
out libraries.

Museums too!

Oops, we were too early.  Maybe we'll
come back another time.

The library was open though!

Home:

We came home to rest, play, and
do chores!
(Can you tell where we spent a little time?)

Early Evening:

We jumped for a couple of hours!

Dodgeball!  Oliver is a bit sensitive...
Mommy does not like this game at all.

Oliver found a quarter!

Mommy tried to get the eagle.
The claw was weak.

Taking a break!

Not taking a break.

He loved the rope swing and landing in
the pit.

Then we ate dinner with the Loflens
and visited for a few minutes
since we were in the neighborhood!

The Summer of Reading continues!

Goodnight!

We had fun playing at Stagecoach Park this morning!  We plan on walking and playing at the park on our summer Mondays!

Mommy didn't take many pictures today, sorry!  (She found her charger finally, so she'll take more pictures tomorrow!)  We had a good day!

Reading

Our Summer of Reading is off to a good start!  Oliver read 10 books before we went swimming today and happily worked on his Summer Bridge workbook!  Yippie!  Oliver has been listening to Holes by Louis Sachar this afternoon, again, he loves that book!  We also picked up Barnes and Nobles summer reading program list today!  Yay!

(We love reading!)

Oliver is off to have dinner with his Daddy for a bit for Father's Day and then we will continue our Summer of Reading with another good chapter book!

Happy Father's Day!!!
