Saturday

We had a really nice Saturday!  

We started the day early, Oliver and his baby lizard went to our neighbors

for a short visit, while Mommy ran a race over on Grand Avenue:

Mommy ran well!  

(Mommy feels like goofing around a little more.)

Mommy brought some donuts back for the kids.

Yums!

Then we went over to Grammie's and the Y for a bit:

We saw a bunch of porsches in a row through Elfin Forest!  Fun!

We showed Grammie, Oliver's lizard and set up a

photo shoot for him with Mommy's Geico Laces.

 Next, we went to the library for their Open Studios program:

We checked out the art gallery first!

Then we made our own doggy masks!

And we got our pictures taken together!

With the masks and without!  Fun!

Oliver went inside and picked out a dog movie too!

We liked the dog mural that was in the courtyard too!

After we ate some lunch:

Oliver shared his baby lizard with Allen.

Mommy spied Spiderman on the wall!

We ate at the coffee shop where it was cool

and comfy cozy!  Mommy saw an old Hallmark

customer that used to be a big ornament collector there.

Its always nice to see old faces.

 We came home to rest and then to play:

(Mommy is kind of tired.)

Friday

Mommy picked up Oliver today and we came home to rest and play.  He played with Mattias for a little bit then asked if we could go swim at the Y because he heard the neighbor boys in their newly refurbished pool. Instead of going to the Y he got to go swim with the neighbors!  He loves it!

Yay!  Mommy thinks he learned jumping in

when he played with them on Monday and swam

with the boys!  Yippers!  We are going to try it at the Y!

 Afterwards we went for a stroll on Grand:

Cruisin Grand will end the last Friday of September.

We've got to get our fix.

Kettle Korn and Cars!

Mommy likes the fast bike!  She is running a race

in the morning that starts on Grand!  She hopes

to be fast even though she is exhausted!

Mommy liked taking spooky pictures tonight.

This picture reminded her of a really great

short story she just read called,

How High the Moon.  Read it!

Mommy fed her pirate some popcorn.

(She is waiting for a response.)

She liked this purple Challenger!

And she had fun talking to the man who owned this

neat car!  She referred him to this neat story about

a car like his and told him about a neat show

the author is a part of called, Roadkill.  He loved hearing

about Mommy's suggestions!  (Don't ask Mommy

how she knows about this kind of stuff.)

Mommy still thinks she may just want an old car

one day for herself and Oliver.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Donut Wednesday

Yippie, Donut Wednesday!  We went to the donut shop this morning for our donuts, but Oliver felt like eating in the car.  He said it was, "cold."  It was 72 degrees.  

We ate on the way to his school!  Happy Donut Wednesday!

Oliver is off with his Daddy now.  Mommy will see her little guy after school on Friday for a nice together weekend, the swimming pool is open again at the Y!  Mommy is ready to jump in it!

Homework

We had a nice evening at home!  Oliver's first grade homework folder came home today!!!

We started our homework routine tonight.

Its really important that all of Oliver's homework

gets done.  Each page is labeled with the day he is

expected to work on it.  He did a pretty good

job tonight, he still needs practice with his pencil.

Our table is part of our routine.  We love it!

(Mommy would like help painting it with a gloss to 

make it easy to wipe down, she also needs the

lightbulb above the table fixed.)

We read before tonight bed tonight and Oliver watched

a movie on his nook!  Mommy likes this kind of tired.

Grateful

Today we had another busy day.  Mommy is grateful for a lot of things tonight.

Mommy is grateful for Grammie and Grandpa for letting Oliver sleep in and be lazy while Mommy took her Y break!  Mommy is also grateful for our neighbors who helped watch Oliver for a few hours today while Mommy went to her classroom.  Oliver had so much fun with the neighbors, he swam, played with pretend guns, went to Souplantation and played some more!

He loves going to play there!

So, here is a sneak peek at the work Mommy, Grammie, 

and Oliver (kind of) put into the classroom:

Mommy still isn't finished putting up her boards.

Grammie did a really nice job with the library!

Mommy will need to put her book labels on the

baskets!  

Mommy is grateful that her old friend Amy gave her

the ideas for decorating with reds, blues, and blacks

to create a warm friendly environment.  And one

that doesn't have to change much!

Mommy's "College Bound Wall!"

Mommy chose Purdue!

 Mommy is ready for tomorrow, she thinks that

once the school year starts to get settled in, Oliver

will like that Mommy is a teacher again.  Hopefully

we don't have super crazy weeks like we just had!

(Mommy still can't believe how fast it happened!)

Mommy also hopes that she can more patiently teach

these rules to Oliver again.  She would be grateful for

more patience and hopefully more time to work with him.

Sunday

Todar we got ready some more in Mommy;s Classroom!  She was going to write a about windows and doors.  (But she is too tied!)  Enjoy our pictures and maybe come up with captions of your own!
