Junior Carlsbad

Oliver, Waylon, and Rachel ran the Junior Carlsbad this morning!  We had fun with the little racers!

Rachel woke Oliver up this morning!

Walking to the race!

Getting excited as we come upon the closed roads
leading to the Expo and the race courses!

Picking up Oliver's bib and timing chip!
Five year olds and up are timed!

Race Courses.

Seven Year Old Racers!

Sweetness.

He was really restless and in a silly
kind of mood before the race,
we walked around a little.

When we came back to base camp,
the Cunninghams were with Grammie!

Oliver and Danielle started the five year old race together!

Oliver left Mommy and Danielle in the dust!
Mommy was a little surprised!

She couldn't always see him!

Danielle did such a good job!  She wanted
to hold Mommy's hand most of the
time while running!  So sweet.

Sweetness.

Meeting us at the end, he already had his medal!

Five Year Old Racers with their Medals!

We saw the rocks we took pictures of Oliver and
Rachel last year at, so we decided to take another
one with the new racer Waylon!  We hope to make
this a new tradition!  Next year we will add Claire!
They can race until they are twelve!
(Hopefully we add more racers.)

We kind of had a hard time taking the "perfect"
picture!  Mommy thinks that is what is
going to make this tradition fun!

We went to the expo to get the free stuff
between races!

Looking through his swag bag!

They loved these sports drinks!

Mommy loves that Rachel had fun!

Heading to Rachel and Waylon's race!

Walking the line.

Waylon getting his bib pinned on!  He didn't
like the race so much.

But he was very happy when Mommy had him
grab a sports drink and asked him if he
wanted snacks.  His frown quickly became
a sweet little Waylon smile!

Results!

Oliver is finished 56th, 30th boy, 5min 12 sec
for 1/2 mile!

Picking up Mommy's bib for her race tomorrow!

Oliver wanted to stop by the Expo
again on the way back to the car!

He acted really silly on the way home.
(That is how Mommy gets right after
her races too!)

This year's medal!

We had a good time at the race and we had a really nice rest of the day together!

Clothes

Oliver came home today at noon.  We were busy with our daycare friends.  He was wearing a strange outfit when he came home.  Mommy wanted to document it.

He came home in shorts that had
a huge hole in the butt and no underwear.
He likes not wearing underwear.  Mommy
doesn't like that.

And he came home with his shoes on the wrong feet!
(Boys are exhausting.)

We are off for a swim.  Mommy is looking forward to it.  So is Oliver!

Happy Friday!

Donut Wednesday

Yippie!  Donut Wednesday!  We picked up our donuts on our way home last night so we could have a special Spring Break treat of sleeping in!  Oliver slept until about 7:40!  Yippie!

We ate our donuts together and had a nice morning with the daycare kids!

Preparing our donuts.

Mommy's donut hole.
(Now Mommy just needs her coffee in her hands.)

Oliver's donut.

Yums!

Oliver wanted Mommy to take this picture of him!

Its nice being at home together.

Oliver is off with his Daddy until Friday at noon.  Mommy will see her little person soon.

Tuesday

Oliver had a good day at home!  Cooper came over around 11:00 for daycare!  We had fun playing with him in the backyard and a little bit in the playroom.  We had a nice evening together.

Most of the toddlers loved Cooper!

Cooper enjoyed being in our backyard!
During nap time he came to the windows
and whined a little, wondering where
everyone went!

Puppy love is the best!

At the end of the day we were in a rush to get to a tire appointment, when
our neighbor, Sergio came over to help Mommy with a leaking sink and
a broken microwave!  So much broken stuff at once!
(He thinks the sink is probably just a broken hose and the microwave
might not be getting enough power from the outlet its connected too.)

Sergio also talked to Oliver about the brown widows
he keeps capturing.  Oliver found two today.
Sergio told Oliver he wouldn't be able to
have his frijoles or tortillas anymore if he got
bit by one of these.  He makes Mommy laugh!

We stopped laughing when we got to the tire shop.

But we felt better once we left our car
and started walking to the Farmer's Market
on Grand!

We like walking in downtown!

And eating quesadillas!

And visiting the reptile store!

Mommy likes these signs on shops on Grand.

This is a neat store!

This counted cross-stitch was in the window.
Its sweet!  Mommy wants to stitch another bird
for her bedroom soon!

Back to the tire store and the free water!

(And other free stuff.)

Good night!

April

Happy April!  Happy Spring!  We love sharing our calendars!

Oliver's Chair

Oliver had a fun day at home!  He helped Mommy and played with the daycare toddlers.  At nap time he played over at Magnus' and Mattias; house!  Fun!!!

Mommy discovered something in the yard
that Oliver made yesterday.

"Oliver's Kingdom Chair."
(He used a silver pen to write the sign.)  And chalk!

Lucky kid!
(Mommy wants a chair like that!)

We are off for a swim!  Happy Monday!
