Grandpa's Birthday Get Together

This afternoon we went to Grammie and Grandpa's house to celebrate Grandpa's 61st birthday!  We had a nice time with family.  Aunt Jess and Uncle Chad made yummy mussels and clams.  Oliver loves playing with Aunt Jess, running away from "the monster" Uncle Chad, and being sweet with Grammie and Grandpa.

Happy early Birthday Grandpa!  Bummer, Mommy didn't get any pictures of the birthday Grandpa.

Aunt Jess tickling Oliver's tickle spot...the back of his leg.
Oliver said he didn't have a tickle spot anymore.
 We proved him wrong.
Being sweet with Grammie.

Rachel crawls now.  She has a really cute crawl.

Mussels.  Yummy.
Eating some bread and pasta.  He wouldn't try the seafood.
He was getting upset that he didn't have enough space.
He was tired, so he was a little moody.

Rachel grabbing Chad's face.  She is so sweet.
Mommy loves when she gets to see her niece.

Oliver on the swing.  (He is so cute in action.)
Oliver eventually got off the swing for one of our
daycare friends.  She and her baby brother spent the
last 4 days and nights with us.  Mommy is ready for
a really good nights sleep.  Sweet dreams everybody!

Playwerx

We had a fun Saturday.  In the afternoon we went to Playwerx.  We invited Grammie and Grandpa to come by and visit us while we were there!  Oliver had so much fun running, climbing, sliding, crawling, swimming in the balls, swinging and more!  Mommy had fun going down the big slide with him a few times.  It is super slippery and fast.  Grammie even went in with Oliver and went down one of the slides!  Oliver was pretty worn out by the time we got home, and rested for the rest of the day.  He fell asleep fast after his bath tonight.  Sweet dreams.

Super Fun!

Thinking about what he is going to do first when we got
there...the art room is behind him.  Crazy graffiti!
So much fun!  It looks overwhelming and maybe
a bit dangerous...(But like Mommy said before, its just a
big old softy..with lots of protection.)  Oliver has never
 gotten hurt in that structure!
 The two slides.
 Crawling Oliver.
There are so many different colors and obstacles. Bridges,
balls, ropes, slides, nets, steps...etc.  (It is one structure that
supports each person's individuality and interests!  So cool!)
Oliver seems to be very interested in the slides and also
the climbing!  Of course.

 Whoops.

 Going across a little bridge.
Eating some lunch.  Grandpa was a french fry burglar.
Oliver thought it was funny.

bets Grammie is going to sleep good tonight!

Mailboxes

We had another busy Friday with our daycare friends.  Oliver was pretty excited to spend the day with friends.  He ran around a lot, enjoyed playing outside, eating with his friends, and helping Mommy.  In the afternoon Grammie came over for a while.  Oliver loves seeing her and he enjoyed giving her some flowers outside.  He took an awesome bath and fell asleep pretty quickly afterwards.  We had a nice busy Friday.

Oliver wanted to sit in a high chair this morning and
eat breakfast.  Silly.
On Friday's we have breakfast for lunch!  Oliver
always loves to eat breakfast food!
Going to get the mail in his rain boots.
He knows which one is our mailbox.  We always love to
get messages.  Usually we get the mail earlier in the day.  (It is kind
of fun getting it at a weird time.)  Oliver doesn't always get
to venture to the mailboxes with Mommy.
Holding some mail and looking at Grammie proudly...
he just gave her a flower.  He loves his Grammie.

Hallways

The following pictures are from the Encinitas YMCA.  Whether it is early in the morning or late in the evening this hallway always inspires Mommy.  She soaks in each sign that hangs from the ceiling, as she sips her free coffee.  This hallway leads to great places...the locker room/sauna, the treadmills...and other equipment, the dark quiet room for stretching, and lots of very friendly people.  (This hallway has led Mommy to some really great places...)  The YMCA is a great place for Mommy and for Oliver!

Donut Wednesday and Dr. Seuss's Birthday

We had a really nice donut Wednesday.  Today is also Dr. Seuss's Birthday.  Oliver brought Yertle the Turtle and the book to school today and Mommy wore our Cat in the Hat hat.  The preschoolers loved it!  Oliver loved sharing his Dr. Seuss goodies with his friends!  Dr. Seuss is fun!

He liked the pink donuts today.
Yums.
These always look good to Mommy, but she wouldn't
be able to eat very much of it by herself.  (She would
rather share it with someone.)

Mommy didn't have green eggs today, but she
had yummy green wheatgrass.

Cuteness

We had a busy Tuesday.  Oliver had a lot of fun at preschool.  He wore his rain boots to school and said his favorite part was playing outside.  We came home and had a nice time doing our nightly routine.  He is loving bath time now!  He is even trying to wash his own body with soap and attempting to wash his own hair.  It is cute!

Korey loves to climb over everybody and
Mommy loves to tickle him when he does that to her!
That is probably why he comes back for more!
The kids at preschool love to see Korey when Mommy brings him!
(He is a big old sweetheart...Mommy likes taking care of him.)
Oliver in the hallway on the way out of school, he
loves going to school!
This looks kind of gross, but Mommy made the best
spinach-turkey meat loaf today.  It made our
home smell so good!  Oliver didn't want
to try it because of the spinach, but Mommy loved it!
She looks forward to tasting some more (can't wait!).
