Camping

We headed to the mountains on Friday and came home late this afternoon.  We had a wonderful time Cub Scout camping.  Oliver slept good every night and is sleeping well tonight. On the way home we had two scouts and one of their sisters.  We spent a few hours in Julian eating pie, walking, and shopping.  It was a great way to end the weekend!

Eric's famous breakfast....yummy!

Oliver posting the flag.

Our orange tent.  Oliver stayed behind
and didn't go on the hike.  Mommy
went ahead and hiked on her own.
It was beautiful and lovely.

Excited that Logan came to camp on Saturday!

Noah came for the day too!

A couple camping near us had the coolest German
Shepherd.  Den 7 loved playing with him!

Logan's bologna sandwich.

Games.

Noah won!

Mommy rested in the afternoon.  She needed it.

Dessert contest.  Den 7 won!

Rocks by our campsite that the boys
loved to play on!

Sunday Adventure:

Monkeys.

They all decided to eat at a store deli in Julian to
make their dollar stretch further.

It was really sweet.

Fun on Main Street!

Fun shopping....

Dream Fairy garden.

Sweetness.

Drinks for the drive home.

After dropping off Allie and Logan.....they all had the sillies.

It was a really nice weekend!

Donut Wednesday

We had a good morning....Oliver has a warm cinnamon roll that Mommy heated up and he got in a bit of a scuffle with the rooster while he was feeding the chickens.  He's ok.

Trying to sleepy eye smile with a bite in his mouth.

Oliver got his baseball cards!  Sweet!

Oliver is off with his Daddy and Scout.  Mommy will see him on Friday for a nice weekend of Cub Scout camping!

Smiles

It's crazy how a nine year old can go from totally exhilarated from receiving a stripe on his belt at JJ to totally freaking out about a project he waited to long to work on.  Mommy still loves him no matter what, but man, homework freak outs aren't fun.  Mommy loves Oliver's smile.

Batting

Oliver's baseball practice was cancelled tonight and moved to Wednesday.  Well, that's inconvenient and he can't go.  So, we shopped for our upcoming campout weekend and then went to batting cages in San Marcos with Noah and Jennifer.  Oliver tries his new bat he chose this weekend with Noah.  Batting is hard work....for them.  All Mommy does is help pick up the balls....she wishes she could bat too....but her darn wrists. Oliver loves baseball!

Getting tips from Jennifer...she played
college baseball!

There are only two more weeks of baseball and then playoffs.  Oliver has sure grown a lot as a baseball player this season.  Mommy is proud of him.
