Donut Wednesday

We didn't have a lot of time to get donuts together yesterday.  So Mommy got a cinnamon roll at a cute cupcake place on Grand while Oliver was at JJ.  We had a good morning.

Mommy didn't get a picture of Oliver in time.

Or of the cinnamon roll!

She snapped a quick picture of him
as she walked by getting ready in a hurry!
We were TIRED this morning.

Oliver is off with his Daddy and Scout.  Mommy will see him on Friday for a nice together weekend.

Tuesday

We had a busy night!  JJ and Cub Scouts.

Relay races!  His team won the first round.
Mommy walked around Grand while he exercised.

Cub Scouts at Interfaith where they assist Homeless
men, women, and families in our community:

Learning a lot and being respectful.

Learning in the pantry.

The door where the families waiting for food stand.
Donations can be brought to the door too.  Our pack
is collecting donations now.  Mommy and Jennifer
will be bringing it all there at once.

Practicing being pantry volunteers and gathering
food for the families.

They worked well together.

Sweetness.  Scouts is good in so many ways.

Happy Tuesday.

Play Ball

Today we came home and rested.  We were tired.  We've been watching Scout this weekend and she wasn't tired, but she got lots of cuddles.  After awhile we had to leave so Oliver could play ball!

Scout watched us leave from the Hello/Goodbye window.

Oliver got in a good practice.

Mommy got in a good elliptical and then a view at
the blossoms on the tree.

Some batting for Oliver too!  That is a
neat set-up!  Wish we could do something
like that at home, Oliver would love that!

Happy Monday!

Exercise

We both got a lot of exercise today:

Mommy ran the inaugural Encinitas half Marathon:

It started and ended at Moonlight Beach.

There were hardly any hills.  But this one was a steep one!
Oliver hung out with Grammie and also ventured up to
the school to play basketball.

Then in the afternoon we went to our baseball park
and practiced for 2 hours with Grady, Noah, and Caleb:

Mommy fielded a lot of balls.  A lot.  Her legs may
be even sorer now.  She got to hit a few too!

Cathy and Grady.

Noah.

Grady.

The boys helped Eric put away the pitching machine.

Oliver benefits from all the practice he can get!  We had a good exercising Sunday!

Saturday

Mommy is going to try and make it through the writing of this blog.  How she finished her masters degree so quickly and kept up on all the writing she has NO idea!  She can't even stay awake to write a few sentences here.

This first.....Oliver got this award yesterday at school from
his 3 3rd grade teachers.  He got the top reader in 3rd grade
award for trimester two!  He is reading at a 6.1 which is 6th
grade level.  Mommy is so proud of him!

Now this:

Baseball!  His friends watched him!
So did a bunch of Cub Scout parents
who were mingling around and his Grandma
and Alan!

They lost, but had a good game!

Coach talk at the end.

Oliver got the game ball for some of his
plays and his improvements!

The coach signs it at the end.
Very sweet!

They were very proud of him!  Oliver
loves having visitors at his games!

On the way home Oliver noticed them mad hanging from
a rope.  It was a dummy.  Phew.

We had to pick up Mommy's race stuff later:

She'll be running the first ever Encinitas Half Marathon.
Wish her luck.  Her mantra is to just run happy.
She's been sick with a nasty cold all week.

Maybe, kind of ready.

It starts and ends at Moonlight Beach.

Later we went back to Kit Carson Park to practice hitting:

Oliver wanted Mommy to wear Uncle Tommy's
old glove.  Sweetness.

We were trying to figure out what this was....it
looks like a special heart.  Maybe a good luck
charm?

Oliver is really loving baseball.  Like a whole bunch.
