Rogue Donut Wednesday

Our donuts went off the beaten path this Wednesday.

They went to see the new Star Wars movie with us...

Oliver got invited for being a top seller and attended with
Scouts from our pack who sold over $1,000 in popcorn.

Fitting.

These Scouts were laughing and getting
grossed out.  Logan's dad was showing Mommy
his foot he dropped a cast iron skillet on and we
were talking about Mommy's upcoming wrist surgery.
The Scouts were grossed out.

But that didn't stop Oliver from eating a
plate of Swedish meatballs from Ikea!

He was sleepy afterwards.  It's tough watching
a movie at 9:00 am!

Oliver is off with his Daddy.  Mommy will see him Sunday afternoon.

Throwing Baseballs

Oliver learned about throwing baseballs today.  First we learned, or actually already knew, that Shane can throw most sports balls pretty well for a two year old.  SIGN HIM UP FOR LIL' ROOKIES at the YMCA!!!
Oliver really learned how to throw a baseball today at the Stagecoach Park baseball fields.  The groundskeeper watched us playing catch and came to the rescue.  Mommy isn't too good at it....Oliver is learning.  Oliver is much stronger and accurate now after his instruction.  The man's name is Coach Joe and he coaches everywhere.  He coached his son's Little League team in 2005 to the Little League World Series. His son set a world record...read about it here.  Coach Joe challenged Oliver today.  10 good throws to "mom" and he would give Oliver 2 movie passes.  It took about 20 throws, but Oliver got it!

He left the ball fields with some new baseball skills and a load of confidence!

Coach Joe + two kids helped Oliver.
One of the kids plays for Stanford's baseball team, the other
plays on a local high school team!

Oliver flew his drone afterwards.

Nice.  Coach Joe said Oliver must take his "mom"
to the movies.  Sweet.

Using his new rebounder net.

More drone flying and getting stuck.

While Mommy soaked up the daylight in
the garden just like this sunflower.

Baseball and drone flying made for a
pretty good day for Oliver!

Playing

Oliver spent the day playing....with his drone he got yesterday, with his ping pong table we put together last night, with his drone, and with his baseball gear.

He wanted to get a net that throws the ball
back to you, so he used some Christmas
money on one at the Sporting Goods store!

He is going to finish the net tomorrow.

For now, he's resting....

and learning about baseball from a neat
DVD he checked out at the library the
other day!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!

Home:

Yay!  Santa didn't put it together.
We're figuring that out tonight.

Mommy is really glad that Oliver's
teacher had his students make ornaments
as a gift.

They are pretty amazing!

Snowmen fingers!

Perfect on our tree!

Fun!

Santa brought his annual snowglobe for
our front window!

Mommy got this in her stocking.  If she
puts it under her pillow she won't
worry anymore.  About anything.
That sounds really nice.

Oliver got an EARaser!

It's supposed to be Van Gogh's ear.

Good morning.

Snow in the mountains!

 Family:
Uncle Matthew's Subaru is so cool!

Uncle Kelly.  Uncle Chad must have taken this picture.

Sisters make Mommy happy....

Grammie is so pretty, even with her
curler clip in her hair.

Uncle Chad.  In his not so good mood.

Mommy's fancy present from Grammie.

Everyone loved their presents from Claire!
She picks them out at her preschool!

Yeah, Aunt Ali was a little off on the
spelling of Shane's name.  "Sean."

Marshmallows and lululemon = SMILES!

Knives for Mommy = A coin for Aunt Jess
so our relationship isn't severed.  Look it up.

Yes!

Uncle Matthew helping the princess get dressed.

Nails getting painted!

Uncle Matthew was a good sport.

Merry Christmas!
