More Rock On

Oliver continued to rock on today at his camp and we made it even better in the afternoon by reporting at the library.  Claire, Shane, and Grammie came along too!  

She reported on a chapter from Oliver's Squanto book.

She is such a literate girl!

She got to pick out a book, she wanted this

one.  Oliver and Mommy talked her out of it.

(We want her to learn to be humble and kind.)

There is Oliver's sneaker!  That isn't our Claire next

to him.  Hers will be put up later!

We made a craft.  Mommy just noticed

with Doug.  She didn't come out real fast.  He was helping

her teach Oliver some safety techniques and gave him some

ideas for a stronger sheath.  

Oliver is a good listener.

(Just not always with Mommy.)  

We had a great day and Oliver did well at night when Mommy had to meet with a group for a project.   Oliver is off at camp on Wednesday.  Mommy will see him on Friday for a nice together weekend!  She misses him and hopes that he learns a lot and has fun at his camp. 

Rock On

Oliver and his step cousin, Julian attended the NAT Rock On camp today in Balboa Park.  Oliver got to spend some time with his Grandma on the way there and back.  He loves going to the NAT, this is his 3rd summer camp there!  

He met Mommy at the San Elijo Mira Costa campus.

He checked out the library, he wanted to go past this,

He met one of the faculty librarians.  She had a lot

of stones on...

Oliver thought it was turquoise but we compared and 

it wasn't close.  Myla's are called malachite.  They

were in her earrings, ring, bracelet, and necklace.

She is a wonderfully eclectic dresser and an amazing

librarian.  Mommy is learning SO MUCH!  (Sometimes

her brain doesn't have a lot of room for other things.)

We also went to sign up for the summer reading program!

He reported, sipped lemonade, and got all his swag.

He will be working on multiplication and division

this summer too.

Mommy is feeling a bit guilty but there is no way she 

can fit in the weekly pick ups and visit to the library

with Team Cousin.  She will pick up with our ritual

next year.

Oliver's choice!

We are aiming for this before we leave for

Indiana on the 13th!  Can we do it!?

We did get Shane his swag and reporting chart.

His is a sweet baby map that he completes at home.

Birthday Celebrations

We celebrated a lot of birthdays today!   Rachel, Uncle Matthew, Aunt Ali, and Oliver.  Plus father's day.  We got a special jumpy house with a slide that was VERY popular!

First though, Oliver went to the Y early

and worked out for a little bit with Mommy.

He is getting good at the elliptical!
