Rain

Oliver is home and we love rainy days.  Just not leaky roofs.  For some reason Mommy's intuition was telling her that the roof would probably leak again (Mommy still likes to follow her intuition).  Sure enough she saw two drops of water glisten and fall towards our rocking chair in the Bernadette room, five minutes before she needed to pick up Oliver.  We came straight home to cover up the skylight.  The skylight is the problem.

This is from below, but Mommy worked on the roof
for a bit.  For some reason it wipes her out!  Oliver
helped with passing up bricks for the tarps.  He worked
on his ponds in the rain.  We got so wet!

Mommy saw this pretty flower growing on the vines
along our side fence while she was on the roof.
Tons of gardening ideas popped into her head
while she was up there.  School first though.

This kid has so many projects and interests.  He was
trying to hot glue the bags for a pond liner.  Mommy told
him that probably wouldn't be the best idea.

He brought home his research project on Ireland and
his ancestors.  He got a good grade!  Mommy is
proud of the scholar Oliver is becoming.

Donut Wednesday

We had a nice Donut Wednesday.  We got our donuts last night.

Checking out the neighborhood issues.

Oliver took the camera:

Mommy took it back:

New menu!  Second new menu since we've been
going to Donut Wednesday.  (5+ years.)

He liked where they put the hand table!

Waiting for us.

Morning:

Masterpieces.

Oliver is off with his Daddy.  Mommy will see her growing reader at 2:00 on Sunday.  She misses him already.

Tuesday

We had a nice day.  We like our Tuesday routines.

Oliver was playing dodgeball when Mommy picked
him up at the Boys and Girls Club.

Homework time!  Oliver kept rambling
on and on and on about weird math things
while he was working on his math.
(Mommy listened, but was a little annoyed.)
At least he got his math done.

We finally got our roof repaired today.  Mommy
had the repairman put Oliver's dart board up too!
He was pretty stoked!  We are going to have to
move furniture around....

We already did the other day, but we're going to
need to do it again, since we have a lot of game stuff!

Bullseye!  He is pretty good at aim and throwing.

Goodnight and sweet dreams.

Pack 659 Show

Oliver's Scout Pack had their pack show tonight!

Popcorn awards for the dens.

Den 7 won first place with a total of $7000 something!

They all went up there!

Yay!  Oliver is so proud.  He set a new goal for
popcorn selling this year.  Over 4,000, which is
the last prize level.  (Mommy may need a little
help with that...)

Den 7 shared their recycle project!

Spirit award time!

Skit.

Philmore making an appearance and talking
about his New Years resolutions.

CJ and Isaac below talking about the
recycle project.

The boys favorite part, playing after!

(Goodnight and sweet dreams.)

National Pie Day

We celebrated National Pie Day a day late.  With Grammie, of course!

We went to Betty's Pie Whole Saloon by the nursery.

Eat Yer Greens Savory Pie.

Breakfast pie.

Inside Mommy's pie.

Oliver's pie all mushed up.

Oliver took some pictures:

Mommy took the camera back:

We ate some sweet pies too.  Apple crumb pie.

Mississippi Mud Pie.
We didn't have leftovers of our sweet pies, but
had some yummy leftovers of our savory pies.

Oliver went outside to try and catch lizards.

The menu in case you're interested.....

Also, Oliver's progress report in case you are interested:

He is doing well!  Mrs. O just wonders why
he doesn't turn in more 20/20 reading homework tickets.
He sure gets his reading done with Mommy..........

Practice, practice, practice.  Also,
teaching Oliver the IMPORTANCE of
education and the VALUE of being
at school EVERY day is very important.

(Goodnight.)
