Donut Wednesday

We had a windy beautiful Donut Wednesday morning together.

Choosing!

Oliver took over the camera phone:
Mommy's camera is on the fritz.

Oliver got creative!

Not sure what the meaning behind the trash can?

Mommy took over:

Vanessa always gives us extra donut holes!

(Dark, deep, and not here.)

Sweetness.

Days

Tuesdays we do whatever.  Sometimes we do errands, sometimes we go to the Farmer's Market, sometimes we do things on a whim, whatever.  Today we came home and did a bunch of chores.  But first we relaxed and caught up with some games we play, we were both a bit tired!

We kind of were lazy and had to lie down.

Oliver tried to take a picture of Mommy relaxing.
It didn't work.  Oh well.

Oliver played Angry Birds.

Mommy played Words with Friends with our
Cousin Denny!  We have a million games going.
Mommy loves it!

After relaxing we got up to start our chores:

Oliver asked for milk and Mommy made a
big mess.  She dropped the milk carton and
its seam ripped!  Milk was all over
Oliver's clothes!  Oops!

Oliver was funny, he said, "Today's
just not our day!"  Because we also
dropped something earlier.  Mommy
can't remember what it was because
she is so tired!

Anyways, what Oliver said reminded Mommy of the saying, "Wednesday's child is full of woe."
Oliver and Mommy were both born on Wednesdays, and nope today was not our day!
But Mommy dealt with the spill very gracefully and Oliver was super funny about it.
(Maybe we were born on the wrong day?)

Here is the poem that the saying comes from:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny, blithe, good and gay.

Back Home

Oliver is back home!  Yay!  He was very excited to tell Mommy all about his camping trip!  It sounds like he got to see a lot of neat things and had a blast!  Mommy is so, so glad he is back home and safe.

Mommy took a cute picture of Oliver eating his dinner tonight at El Pollo Loco.  He was hungry!  He cleaned his plate, leaving nothing behind!

So cute!

We also stopped by Home Depot to get some
tomato cages!  Our tomato plants
are doing very, very well!
Oliver picked out a few annuals!

Here is what part of our spring garden looks like!

Our yard makes us happy!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  We had fun together this morning finding all the goods at Grammie and Grandpa's house.  Then we were off for a nice together day!

Mommy's gift to Oliver.

Discovering!

Hiding Egg!

Legos:

Legos from Grammie and Grandpa!

Neat T-shirt

After we played at the High School:
Hard to get in today!

Oliver found a way!

And another way!

We played tennis!

The Easter Bunny left eggs in random places
as we were choosing tennis courts!

Weird!  How did he know we were
going to be there!

And how did he know these are Oliver's favorite
chocolates!?

Tennis is fun!

This video makes Mommy laugh.

On the way out Oliver said he lost his baseball that
he found.  Mommy didn't believe him.  Where
do you think it it?

At Home we released the butterflies:

It was neat releasing them!

Oliver is off with his Daddy to celebrate another week of spring break!  Oliver will be going camping and doing other fun stuff!  Mommy will see him next Sunday.  She misses him already, a whole bunch.
(Goodnight and sweet dreams.)

Satisfying Saturday

We had a wonderful Saturday full of fun stuff, lots of learning and a ton of togetherness!

The Y Easter Egg Hunt:

Grammie dropped Oliver off to Mommy so we wouldn't
have to battle parking.  It is pretty intense!  The park
uses the same lot as the Y, not very smart, but
oh well.  Thank you Grammie!

We just checked out the scene and then went to
his lessons!  Oliver's Egg Hunt for his age group was
at 11:45.  Perfect!

Swim lessons!

Mommy read a great article while Oliver swam!  She loves
this singer!  (This is her favorite song by him,
this one is pretty amazing too.)

We headed back over to the Egg Hunt:

4/5 year olds!  Lots of people!

We walked by the skate park!

EXCITED!

Mommy and Oliver!

So excited he didn't know what to
do with himself.

Waiting.

Can you see all the eggs?!

Anticipation!

Mommy's panorama of all the people!

Egg Hunt!  The eggs are gone in about 2 minutes!

So, so sweet!

Explaining his strategy!

Looking for the grand prize ticket!

We didn't get it, but thats ok!  We had fun!

We went back to the pool:

We love when the pool is pretty empty!

After swim we went to Science Saturday at the Library:

Mommy wishes more Science Saturdays fell
on the Saturdays that Oliver is with Mommy.
We made sure to go to this one!

Attendance was light!  Getting their check off sheets!

Making a rain stick.

Learning about precipitation.  Mr. Joe, the one with
suspenders is sort of a sweet character!

Oliver's check off list and coloring packet he earned!
We came home and did an experiment with mentos
and a full soda bottle because Oliver was inspired
by an experiment at the library!  We made a big geyser!
Mommy loves when Oliver is inspired!

Happy Saturday!
