Pictures

We had a nice Monday.  We did a lot of things around our home and ventured out for a little bit.  Oliver did a bunch of silly things today and Mommy took pictures of a lot of them!  Oliver is peacefully sleeping, he slumbered on the couch next to Grammie tonight too!  He was pretty tired and fell fast asleep on our drive.  He has been so busy lately!  Sweet dreams.

Getting ready to give Mommy a good morning kiss.
He loves to look at himself in the mirror when he has
a shirt on his head.  Silly.
 What is Oliver doing?
 Working on Mommy's car...Mommy
kept bumping him when she would dip down.
Wearing The Cat in the Hat's Hat.  Getting ready
for Dr. Seuss's Birthday on Wednesday!
Working on his "house" while we were
working on our garden.
He brought his Elmo foot to Henry's.  He
entertained many people...
Going down the slide at the park.
Taking a nice bath.  He sold Mommy a duck, for $20.
Grammie gave Mommy an old duffle bag with some old
school papers.  This was her journal from 3rd grade.  Mommy
thinks the comment is funny.  Mommy always liked to
write, but never had very neat handwriting.  Oh well.
This was a page about her siblings.  Ha ha.
Mommy isn't much of an artist either.
This was in Mommy's bag, it is actually Aunt Ali's.
(Kind of funny.)

February

Mommy is always a little sad when February comes to an end.  It is definitely her favorite month.  But, March is full of greenness (and luck...).  Goodbye February, Hello March!

Our Masha D'yans Calendar- So pretty!

Frisbee

Oliver came home this evening.  He had been sleeping for awhile and woke up when he got home.  He was pretty wound up--he informed Mommy that he wanted to stay up for the whole night.  It took him a while to wind down.  He is finally sleeping.  Mommy missed him this weekend.

 Throwing his little frisbee
He got really into throwing his frisbee.
He was making all these facial expressions.
He is so funny.  Mommy is glad to have her Owl home.
Lots of snow in the mountains last night!  This is not
the greatest picture, but Mommy took it from our street.
When Mommy walked outside this morning all she
could see was snow.  (The snow feels so close.)
It is amazing to see all the white!!!

Library Book Drop

We had a busy Friday with our daycare friends.  Mommy didn't get a chance to take any cute pictures of her Owl, so she has some random pictures from the past couple weeks.  The first few pictures are of Oliver using the book drop at the Escondido Library.  He loves using book drops!

We had a fantastic day!  Oliver is off early in the morning to be with his Daddy for a fun weekend.

Most of the books we returned were written by Laura Numeroff.
Our circle story author!  We had so much fun reading the books.
(...and changing the endings.)

 Concentrating on returning his book.
Returning If You Give a Pig a Party.

Another random picture.  We played a claw machine
a couple weekends ago.  We didn't win anything,
but we always try...we always plan out what
we are going to do before we put our coins in the machine!
Mommy loves claw machines, so does Oliver.
(So much ready to be picked up...)

Weird Stuff

We had a nice day.  Oliver went to preschool this morning, happily.  He was excited to see Mommy in the afternoon.  He took a really great bath--he can't wait to get in the bathtub now!  He still doesn't like Mommy to wash his hair, but hopefully one day soon he won't make a fuss about it.

He is sleeping peacefully now, after having a bit of a hard time going to sleep.  He just can't seem to turn off his mind at night.  He must get it from Mommy.  (She couldn't sleep last night...Mommy needs to drink more chamomile tea...)  Sweet dreams everybody.

Ready for school with his Pinata Elmo foot
behind him as a tail.  It was his favorite
party favor from Korey's party!

 Elmo's foot.
On the way home, Oliver was very interested in the men
working.  (Everyone is working so hard.)
He had a lot of questions!
He can't wait to get in the tub, he gets in now with
his clothes on!  Crazy kid!
Getting his pants wet and holding his bubble gun.
Bath time is finally becoming happy time!

Donut Wednesday

Donut Wednesday was awesome.  Oliver loves our little Wednesday routine and it is helpful in getting him out the door and to school!  He had a wonderful day at preschool and told Mommy all about the books he read with the teachers.  He came home with purple marker all over his face which he washed off nicely in the bath tonight!  He is peacefully sleeping and snoring now.

Yum, donuts.
 These ones look like zebras.
 Oliver's donut.
 Eating Mommy's donut hole.
Wheatgrass Wednesday, Mommy loves drinking 2 ounces, yum.
(It's nice knowing that there is something that can protect you...)
Mommy has been able to stay pretty healthy, even when
all the kids are sick--hooray for wheatgrass!
Mari came over this evening to thank Mommy for selling 30 boxes
of Girl Scout cookies for her.   Mari gave us a nice card and this
little coupon was inside--it even has a bar code on it!
Cookies anyone?  She is selling them through the end of March.

Escondido Farmer's Market

We had a busy day with our daycare friends, Oliver's school was closed today so he got to spend another nice day with Mommy.  In the evening we went to the Escondido Farmer's Market on Grand Avenue.  They have it every Tuesday from 2:30 to 6:00.  Mommy was finally able to fit it into our day!  We had fun walking and looking at everything.  We are going to try and go back soon!

Downtown Escondido has tons of cool things!  Starting in April they will have Cruisin' Grand, lots of old cars and other interesting vehicles.  (It seems like fun, Mommy wants to try and go this year, hopefully in April!)  We still have tons of things to discover at Grape Day Park too!  Oliver and Mommy will definitely continue exploring our city!

Headed toward the Farmer's Market

Pointing out the letter "o" for Mommy.
 Popcorn Oliver
 Mommy wanted some radishes, yum.
Pretty Swiss Chard...Mommy thinks we have this
growing "wild" in our backyard.
 Yum...apples.
 Tasting some apple.
 Blood oranges.  So pretty.
Pretty pansies.  Oliver picked one out for Grammie.

Presidents and Safari Park

Oliver and Mommy had a great together day!  In the morning we relaxed a little bit and read some biographies.  Mommy got some really cool books at the bookstore, she wanted to teach Oliver a little bit about George Washington.  We read a few pages of our new book and then a few from our Harry Houdini biography.  We plan on reading these at night time, it is fun learning about people!

Oliver got to visit with Grammie and sweet Rachel for a little bit today.  Mommy always likes to see Rachel and make her smile—she makes Mommy smile a lot too.

Afterwards, we made our way to the Safari Park.   Mommy thought we should use our season passes and take advantage of our free parking coupon that expires this month.  We had a good time riding the carousel, walking through the “Heart of Africa,” playing on the playground, and seeing the Gorillas.  Oliver got pretty tired walking and trekking up the hills at the park, he whined like a baby about it, so Mommy had to carry him a bit- carrying a 3 year old is not much fun!  (Don’t worry, Mommy will definitely get him back some day!)  The Safari Park was awesome.

Happy President's Day!

Our George Washington Book- Oliver learned that George was our
1st President- he also learned what Presidents do for our country.
Oliver liked that George lived in a town called Mt. Vernon.
Oliver was born in Mt. Vernon, Washington.

Our stuffed President sat with us while we read.
We won it from a claw machine in Washington.
We think it might be Ulysses S. Grant.
Mommy has been curious about Harry Houdini (for a while now) and if
he was involved in other things besides Magic.  So we
read a bit (Mommy wanted to know if her suspicions about Harry
were true...?)  And we found he was actually into many, many things...
His table of contents...he kind of had multiple personalities.

Mommy chose this book too!  Mommy wants to
learn more about the man behind the Muppets.  Oliver
is just learning about puppets...

This is Oliver giving Mommy a puppet show yesterday
at the Children's Museum.  Mommy did one for him
first and he couldn't stop cracking up--he is so cute!

He fell asleep on our way to the Safari Park...
Mommy let him sleep for a while.
Excited to be on the carousel.
Cuteness.
Putting his "jaguar eyes" on to see better.

Driving a boat.
Cheetahs.  Oliver thought it was a Cheetah with two heads.
Rhinos.
Giraffes.
Checking out a Land Rover that was stuck.
The Safari Park has tons of cool new things.
Oliver was very interested in the Rhino's head.
Gerenuks.
Oliver at the playground.
Gorilla.
Oliver liked standing on Mommy's shadow
head on the way back to the car.
